Sweet Deceit Trick Or Treat October 5 Season 1 Premiere Episodes To Feature Hidden Escape Room Treats & More
According to the Food Network, they are officially scheduled to air the very first, premiere episodes 1 and 2 of their new food reality series, “Sweet Deceit: Trick Or Treat” tonight, October 5, 2026, and they will feature a challenge that involves searching for hidden sweet treats in a creepy escape room and more.
The preface of this show involves teams of three contestants trying to search for deceptive, hyper-realistic sweets that are hiding right in plain sight in certain real-world locations. They will have to make it through four rounds of this, with each round getting even more difficult. If they can pull it off, they could win up to $12,000 dollars in prize money.
According to the Food Network’s official episode 1 press release information, the producers decided to aptly title this one, “Escape Room of Doom.”
The preview intel from the Food Network is letting us know that the three contestants for this episode are named: Bekah, David, and Gezell. They will get hit with a challenge of having to go into four, very eerie escape room settings and find six secret sweets that have been hidden in there by Master baker JonnyCakes.
From what we understand, there will be some edible, impostor/fake treats planted in there to throw them off. If the three contestants can track down all of the real sweets, they will win a cool $12,000 dollars. After the challenges are completed, we’ll get a special segment that features JonnyCakes revealing how he created his edible fake treats.
The new episode 2 is titled, “Trick or Treat: Haunted Manor.” In this one, we’re being told that the three new contestants will be Halloween superfans: Alyssa, Harry, and Justice. They will get hit with a challenge that requires them to go into a historic haunted manor property to try and find a total of six secret sweets that have been planted in there by master baker Andrew Fuller.
This manor will have four rooms that contain eerie antiques, frightening decorations and haunted surprises. The hidden treats will be spread out somewhere inside all of these rooms. Just like before, there will be fake, edible treats planted in there to throw them off.
If they can track down the six, real sweets, they will get handed a cool $12,000 dollars. Afterwards, baker Andrew will show how he created the fake edible treats. Josh Peck is the host.
Again, the Food Network’s press release confirmed that they are scheduled to air these very first, premiere episodes 1 and 2 of Sweet Deceit: Trick Or Treat’s new, premiere season 1 tonight, October 5, 2026, starting in the 9 pm central standard time slot.
