According to CBS’ official episode 3 press release information, the writers decided to name/title this one, “Fire in the Hole.” This episode will feature new scenes from Danny, Lena, Sean, Jonah, Sarah, Chief Lanigan and more.
The spoiler scoop intel that we were able to extract from CBS’ episode synopsis is telling us that at some point in this installment, a super crazy shootout will happen onboard a subway station! As a result, a detective will get seriously injured.
In response, we’ll see Danny and Lena launch an intense investigation into the matter, and they’ll do it with a quickness in an effort to avoid increasing public pressure and political fallout drama, which could derail the whole investigation.
Elsewhere, Sean and Jonah will be out on the hunt for a very important witness whose testimony could quite literally change the whole outcome of this subway case. As for Sarah, she will get into some heavy conflict drama with Chief Lanigan over the direction that this case is taking.
A final spoiler scoop for this new episode 3 is letting us know that we’ll get another Sean scene. In this one, he will be seen, grappling with how police work affects people that he’s really close with.
Episode 3 will feature a couple of guest stars. They are: Xochitl Gomez Returns as character Penny Bravo, and Ron Lea Returns as character Chief Lanigan. Episode 3’s story is by John Dove, and it was directed by Jackie Tejada.
