New 60 Minutes October 25 Episode To Feature Trump’s Aggressive Deportations, Social Media Banning & More
According to CBS, they are officially set to air another new installment of their it news show, “60 Minutes” tonight, October 25, 2026, and it will feature new segments about president Trump’s aggressive deportation operation. The banning of children’s social media accounts and more.
According to CBS’ official press release information for this episode, it will feature a total of three, new segments. The first, new segment is titled, “DESTINATION: NOWHERE.” It will feature a look at Trump’s very aggressive deportation operation. How it moves people to countries where they are not from and have no connection to. The method is called, “third country deportation.”
This segment features an interview with a top lawyer at the Department of Homeland Security, James Percival about these types of deportation methods. There will also be an interview with a deported man over in West Africa. Gianna Toboni handled the reporting duties. Andy Court, Annabelle Hanflig, and Camilo Montoya-Galvez produced this segment.
The second, new segment is titled, “#FREETINAPETERS.” It will feature a look at how Trump denied federal aid to the state of Colorado when they got hit with one of the worst wildfires in the state’s history.
They will talk about some possible reasons why, including Governor Jared Polis shortening the prison sentence of top election official Tina Peters after she was convicted of breaching her country’s election system. Both Governor Polis and Tina Peters will be interviewed in this segment by Bill Whitaker who handled the reporting duties. Sarah Koch produced this segment.
The 3rd and final new segment for this episode is titled, “AUSTRALIA’S EXPERIMENT.” This segment will take a look at how the country of Australia is forcing a lot of social media companies to ban or prevent kids under the age of 16 from owning/getting an account.
They’re reporting that the ban seems to be working and how other countries might be considering adopting the same law. They will also talk about how much the tech giants could lose if this law gets adopted worldwide. Holly Williams did the reporting for this segment. Jacqueline Williams and Erin Lyall produced it.
Again, CBS’ press release confirmed that they are officially scheduled to air this brand new episode of 60 Minutes tonight, October 25, 2026 in the 6 pm central standard time slot.
