The Amazing Race November 4 Eliminated Doug & Dylan (Recap)
Earlier tonight, CBS aired another new episode for Amazing Race’s current season 39, and another unlucky team did get eliminated at the end of it.
Tonight’s new episode kicked off with the teams learning they had to fly to Sri Lanka to get their first clue for this leg of the race. When they got there, host Phil Keoghan told them they had to do a LIVE double U-turn vote, which would cause the recipients of it to have to complete both the Detour challenges.
Doug & Dylan got hit with an automatic U-turn for finishing last in the last leg. Two other teams got hit with the double U-turn via the live voting from the other teams. After the LIVE voting was complete, Michelle & Matt, and Daisha & Dalton got the most votes. So, they were hit with the Double U-turns and had to complete both the Detour challenges. After that, all the teams ran to get their first clue.
When they got them, they got hit with their detours. The teams who didn’t get hit with the double U-turn got to choose to do either the “Dry Out” or “Sell Out” detour to get their next clue. The double U-turned teams had to do both of them to get their next clue.
In the “Dry Out” detour, the teams had to correctly lay out a lot of fish to dry in the sun to get their next clue. In the “Sell Out” detour, the teams had to pick up fish from a fisherman and sell enough his fish to make 5000 rupes to get their next clue.
After the teams successfully completed their detour challenges, they had to take a bus to a park to get their next clue. When they got there, they got hit with a Road Block challenge. It required them to load and deliver boxes to their correct address to get their next clue.
After the teams successfully completed the box-delivering, Road Block challenge, they were told to go to Henry Pedris Grounds to get their next clue. When they got there, they had to complete the Tuk Tuk Polo challenge.
During it, they had to drive a tuk tuk vehicle and score a goal within 60 seconds while other tuk tuk drivers tried to block them. Once the teams scored a goal within 60 seconds, they were able to get their next clue.
After the teams successfully knocked out the Tuk Tuk Polo challenge, they were told to take a taxi to Independence Square, which was the pit stop for this leg of the race.
Ali & Joanna arrived at the pit stop in first place and won a five day and night trip for two to New Zealand from Expedia. Anuar & Andrea came in 2nd place. Michelle & Matthew took the 3rd spot. Conner & Garrettt took 4th place. Ann Marie & Riley came in 5th.
Erin & Javi came in 6th. Daisha & Dalton took the very important 7th spot to just narrowly escape getting eliminated. That means Doug & Dylan did show up in last place. This time, host Phil Keoghan did tell them they were eliminated for it. Doug and Dylan told the private cams, “We are beyond proud with how we did. This is the most fun we’ve ever had.”
