I Love LA New Season 2 Is Officially Happening. HBO Renewed It
According to Deadline.com , the people over at HBO did indeed renew their new comedy series “I Love LA” for a brand new season 2.
The season 2 renewal announcement was made in late November 2025. So, HBO gave it a pretty early renewal. At that time, Deadline is saying that the show was averaging 2 million LIVE viewers and even more from the streaming platforms.
Currently, there’s no official announcement of when the new season 2 will premiere. We’re guessing that it might premiere in the Fall of 2026, but we’ll definitely have to wait until an official announcement is made to give an exact date.
We also don’t have an official episode count for the new season 2. However, if HBO does what they usually do, I wouldn’t be surprised is we see it come back with another 8 episodes just like season 1.
As for any possible season 2 spoilers, the show’s creator and Maia star Rachel Sennott revealed to Deadline that I Love LA’s story actually runs parallel to her own experiences of going through her twenties saying, “I think part of it was going through my Saturn Return, and I feel like this thing sort of happens—my early 20s were really chaotic.
My mid-20s, I was like, ‘Okay, I’m locking in. I know my life. I’m done.’ And then at the end of my 20s, I feel like that kind of early version of myself came out and things got chaotic again, which was scary, but good.”
Again, HBO did officially renew I Love LA for a brand new season 2. So, it will arrive at some point in the future.
