Walking Dead Dead City New Season 4 Still In Question. AMC Hasn’t Renewed It Yet
Today, September 13, 2026, AMC Plus released the new episode 8 of The Walking Dead: Dead City’s current season 3, and it was the season finale episode. So, we did search to see if AMC Plus gave it a new season 4 renewal yet.
According to the folks over at Review Geek and some other sources, AMC Plus has not given the show a new season 4 renewal at this time. So, its future fate is still being decided.
Review Geek did go on to tell us that the Dead City spinoff’s viewership has fallen quite a bit since it debuted with season 1 back in 2023. They’re saying it went from around 700,000 viewers to around 300,000. So, we imagine that would not help with its renewal prospects. We’ll have to wait and see.
On a more positive note, they did mention that one the showrunners Scott Gimple did mention that there are more potential spin-offs in the pipeline. However, they will roll out at a little slower pace.
There’s mention that the other spin-off series, The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon season 4 is the next up to bat with a possible release date coming sometime in 2028. Yep, Gimple said there would be a slower rollout, and that’s definitely pretty slow.
Again, multiple sources have confirmed that AMC Plus has not yet given The Walking Dead: Dead City a new season 4 yet. So, its future fate is still being decided right now.
That’s all we’ve got for this latest, “The Walking Dead: Dead City” TV show report, but definitely stay tuned for more.
