Deadliest Catch October 2 New Episode Not Airing. Season 22 Has Ended
According to our sources over at The Futon Critic , the most recent episode 19 of Deadliest Catch’s current season 22, which aired last Friday night, September 25, 2026, was the season finale episode.
So, the Discovery Channel doesn’t currently have anymore new episodes to air for Deadliest Catch tonight, October 2, 2026, and for the foreseeable future.
We’re being told that the Discovery Channel has yet to put in a renewal order for a new season 23. So, the future fate of the show is still being decided. However, we are pretty optimistic that the Discovery Channel will give it a new renewal order at some point in the future because season 23 did manage to pull between 650,000 and 850,000 viewers per episode according to USTVDB and their sources. That’s pretty much on par for how it usually performs for them.
For tonight, the Discovery Channel is telling us that they plan to fill Deadliest Catch’s empty time slot with a new episode of their hit reality show, “Gold Rush” tonight. It will be the premiere episode 1 of the show’s 17th season titled, “The Most Gold Wins.”
If any of you guys are also fans of Gold Rush, you might still want to flip on the Discovery Channel tonight to check out that new episode. If not, you will certainly want to make some alternate plans for tonight.
Again, our sources have confirmed that Deadliest Catch’s current season 22 did officially end with the airing of episode 19 back on September 25, 2026. So, no more new episodes will air for it tonight, October 2, 2026, and for an indefinite period of time.
That is all we’ve got for this latest, “Deadliest Catch” TV show report, but definitely stay tuned for more.
