New Blue Bloods Season 15 Not Happening. CBS Canceled It
Hey,”Blue Bloods” fans. We hope you guys totally enjoyed episode 18 tonight, especially since it was indeed the very last episode for this current season 14, and it was the last episode for the series as a whole. That means there will never be another new episode for Blue Bloods. This was the final season.
According to the folks over at Deadline.com, CBS made the official decision to cancel Blue Bloods back in May 2024. During the announcement, Amy Reisenbach who is the Entertainment President for CBS said, “While we will miss the series at CBS, the drama will still wrap after the second half airs this fall.
We really want to thank the cast, crew and everyone involved in the show. We absolutely will miss the family dinners. It is important to give the show the sendoff it deserves. We love this cast. We love their passion for the show. All shows have to come to an end. It’s important to us to refresh the schedule. We are going to end the show come December.”
Also, Frank Reagan star Tom Selleck made a statement to the fans in regards to the Blue Bloods cancellation. It reads like this, “For the past 13 years, it has been an honor and a privilege to work on a show that not only celebrates the men and women who protect and serve in New York City, but also displayed the importance of family.
Working alongside these incredible actors, writers, producers, directors, and crew has been a dream come true, and I’m grateful to have been a part of this extraordinary group for over 275 episodes.”
Deadline also reported that the cast, especially Tom Selleck offered some pushback to CBS about their cancellation decision. He tried to tell them that there will be an awful lot of people who will miss Blue Bloods and aren’t ready for it to end, but CBS obviously didn’t heed that warning.
