ABC 20/20 September 11 Episode Not Airing Tonight Due To A News Special
According to TV Guide, the people over at ABC will not be airing a new or repeat episode of their hit news/documentary show, “20/20” tonight, September 11, 2026, due to a news special that they want to air.
We do have them scheduled to get right back to airing episodes of 20/20 next Friday night, September 18, 2026 in its usual, 8 pm central standard time slot. So, definitely look for an episode of 20/20 to pop up next Friday night.
Additionally, we have the new season premiere date. It’s currently scheduled for Friday night, September 25, 2026. So, expect ABC to finally start airing more new episodes of 20/20 on that very important date also in its usual, 8 pm central standard time slot.
As for tonight, we’re being told by TV Guide that ABC is airing a news special in regards to the 25th anniversary of the terrorist attacks tragedy that happened on September 11, 2001. The special is titled, “9/11: United We Stand – 25 Years Later.”
In this special, ABC will present archived personal interviews and more. If that special sounds enticing to any of you guys, you might still want to flip on ABC tonight. If not, you will certainly want to make some alternate plans for tonight as fast as you can.
Again, TV Guide has confirmed that ABC is not airing a new or repeat episode of 20/20 tonight, September 11, 2026, due to their special 9/11, 25th anniversary special.
