New 60 Minutes October 4 Episode To Feature AI Affecting Careers, Republican Senator Thom Tillis & More
According to CBS, they are officially scheduled to air another brand new episode of their hit news show, “60 Minutes” tonight, October 4, 2026, and it will feature segments about AI’s (Artificial Intelligence) possible affects on careers in the future, Republican Senator Thom Tillis and more.
According to CBS’ official press release information for this episode, it will feature a total of three new segments. The first one is titled, “WHO NEEDS HUMANS?” It will feature a look at how AI could affect future careers and so on and so forth.
They’re going to talk with a company that has been on the forefront of training AI to do a lot of career-type tasks to get a better insight into what’s currently going on with that. Correspondent Jon Wertheim handled the reporting duties for this one. David M. Levine and Meghan Lisson produced it.
The second new segment is titled, “THE THOM TILLIS TIGHTROPE.” This one will feature an actual exclusive interview with the North Carolina Republican Senator Thom Tillis. They will go over some details about Trump’s second term in office, how it’s being undermined and who he thinks is undermining it.
They will talk about Thom’s new book that is about to release and his up and down relationship with President Trump. The current state of the Senate and the Republican Party will also get talked about. Correspondent Ross Douthat handled the reporting for this one. Graham Messick produced it.
The 3rd and final segment for this new episode is titled, “SAINT FRANCIS IN THE CLOUD.” This one will feature a deep look at some earthquakes that struck the Basilica of Saint Francis of Assisi back in 1997, and how they damaged a lot of valuable art treasures. It will also show how some new technology is being used to help restore the 13th century basilica and more. Correspondent Bill Whitaker did the reporting for this one. Heather Abbott produced it.
Again, CBS’ press release confirmed that they are officially scheduled to air this brand new episode of 60 Minutes tonight, October 4, 2026 in the 6:30 pm central standard time slot, or after LIVE coverage of an NFL football game. Whichever comes first.
