Dollhouse ‘Ghost’ Episode Review
Review : Joss Whedon, the creator of “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” is back with “Doll House” starring : Eliza Dushku as Echo. An active who can be programmed with any personality in order to complete certain tasks for clients. In this pilot episode,Echo (Eliza Dushku) agrees to become an active in order to get immunity for some trouble she got into which they do not reveal. From there she is programmed to be a wild and free girl in order for them to give her a good weekend.
Once it’s over , they program her to become a ruthless, cunning kidnap negotiator for a rich businessman who is trying to get his daughter back. After some hard negotiating they come to a deal which goes bad do to some personality issues that were programmed into Echo. However, those issues are able to help Echo find where the kidnapper is located, save the girl, and permanently stop him from doing this again.
My Take : Joss Whedon has outdone himself with this show. It is so cool and unique. I really enjoyed watching it,and I can definitely see this show getting even better as they program the actives to take on more personalities. I also think it would be excellent if they could get Sarah Michelle Gellar to come on as another active to team up with Eliza just like the old “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” days. Oh, if only. This was an excellent episode.
