Comedian Robert Schimmel died last night due to car accident. According to TMZ, comedian Robert Schimmel died last night due to some serious injuries incurred from a car accident last week. They say Robert died last night in a Phoenix hospital due to injuries sustained in a car accident last week. He was 60 years old.
It was previously reported that Robert was the passenger in a serious car accident after his daughter,who was driving at the time, swerved to avoid an accident. She is still in the hospital,but is expected to be ok. Robert was a stand up comedian whose material was often X-rated and controversial. He was best known for his comedy albums and his appearances on HBO and The Howard Stern Show.
Robert is number 76 on the 2004 program Comedy Central Presents: 100 Greatest Stand-ups Of All Time. Robert had a history of medical issues,which included surviving a heart attack and cancer.
