New Big Brother 19 Power Of Veto Winner Revealed Yesterday August 19th
Alright, the Power Of Veto competition for Big Brother season 19 was played last night, August 19,2017. The feeds were off for quite a while for this one. We didn’t get to find out who won until around 9 pm Pacific time which was actually 11 pm in our Central time zone.
According to a report from Big Brother Network, Mark, Raven and Paul were drawn to play. So, the house’s backdoor target Mark did at least get a chance to play for the veto this week. The other players were of course the current HOH Christmas and her two pawn nominees Jason and Matt. The Zingbot also showed up for this particular comp.
From various conversations, it sounds like the competition consisted of the greased slide where the houseguests have to run back and forth trying to fill up a big jar with liquid until it’s high enough for them to extract a ball from it. We’ll have to wait and see if this was actually the comp that was played.
Anyways, let’s get down to the main business at hand which is who won the damn thing. It was Jason. That’s right. Jason is starting to pull out a few comp wins lately. As previously reported, Jason and Matt are currently on the chopping block as pawns. The big plan is to backdoor Mark.
Jason will 100 percent use the Power of Veto to save himself. Then Christmas will throw Mark up there to set up the vicious backdoor play that should send him home this Thursday night. Unless something really drastic happens between now and Thursday night, we should definitely expect to see Mark go home.
At this point, Mark would need to somehow convince people that they need to go ahead and split up Matt and Raven this week over getting him out. So basically, that means he needs to convince Paul of this since everyone seems to just do whatever he says at this point. It’s really sad. The people over at Big Brother Network did mention that Christmas was thinking about making a shocking move at one point but it doesn’t look like it will happen now.
There were a few interesting conversations that took place in the late hours of the night. At 9:33 pm, Paul told Raven and Matt that Jason needs to be their next target after Mark. And just like the sheep they are, they absolutely agreed without even thinking twice about it. Paul also told Christmas and and Josh the very same thing. They too agreed with Paul that they should evict Jason next week. It’s almost like they’re just robots or something. Paul just has to give the order and they do it. It’s pathetic.
At one point, Paul told Jason that Kevin may be trying to pull away from them. Jason replied by saying that would be a mistake for Kevin. So, Paul is definitely playing everyone at this point and they’re buying it like little kids that rush to buy ice cream when the ice cream truck comes around. Alex told Josh that they’ll need to try to get rid of Kevin pretty soon. She claimed he is acting really weird now. She also suggested splitting up Raven and Matt
At 10:30 pm, Josh mention that the Zingbot delivered one of the coldest zings to Matt by telling him, “you haven’t done anything in the game besides Raven.” Oh my gosh. That is so true. I can’t wait to see that one air on the show.
At about 10:50 pm, Mark approached Christmas to try to work out a deal. He asked her if there was any way he could be an asset or an ally to her. He also promised her that he didn’t know she was going up as the renom during the first week. He offered to help her and Josh if she kept him around. Christmas responded by telling him that she’ll think about it. She also sort of apologized for trying to backdoor him.
Later at around 12:05 am, Christmas went back and told Paul about she and Mark’s conversation. Paul of course quickly objected to possibly saving Mark. He said Alex wants to go after Matt next week so they’re in a good position right now if she were to get the power again.
That was pretty much it for any of the interesting game talk conversations. The rest was just a lot of BS. Alright, so just to recap, Jason won the Power of Veto. The current HOH Christmas nominated Jason and Matt for eviction. They’re just pawns for a deeper plan to backdoor Mark.
Mark did get to play in the veto comp so it’s not a full fledged backdoor. We will however see the same outcome since Mark lost the POV comp. It’s expected that Jason will use the POV to pull himself off the block. From there, Christmas will nominate Mark and we’ll see him make his big exit on Thursday night.
The POV ceremony is expected to take place sometime tomorrow August 21st. When it’s completed, we’ll be able to 100% confirm that everything took place as planned. Maybe Mark will work on Christmas some more today and get her to possibly pull off a huge shocker tomorrow. She probably won’t, but one can always hope, right? Stay tuned. Re big bro this year
The show was enormously interesting with the Jody showmance and Paul back in the house but sadly took a nasty turn with the excessive bullying. I almost stopped watching with the eviction of Jody (think Jessica was one of the smartest to ever play) but decided to continue to watch in the hopes Mark can somehow prevail over these bullies. The people in the house should be ashamed of their behavior and regardless of who wins, once Mark is gone , this long time fan will never watch again. 🙁
