Grey’s Anatomy Owen Hunt Star Kevin McKidd Just Shelled Out Major Cash
Hey, “Grey’s Anatomy” fans. Why we wait for new details on the upcoming 15th season of your favorite TV show, we thought we’d let you know what one of the main stars has been up to recently since it made headlines over on Variety.com’s site.
We previously reported that Owen Hunt portrayer, Kevin McKidd welcomed a new kid into the world with his new wife Arielle Goldrath. I guess this event was just-cause for Kevin to go searching for a great, new and very expensive house. Variety.com is reporting that Kevin recently shelled out a whopping 2.925 million dollars for a big family-sized home located on a pretty, tree-lined street in Sherman Oaks, California. The house boasts 4,821 square feet, five bedrooms and six bathrooms.
They went on to describe the house as having gray shingles with board-and-batten accents. Along with the already mentioned five bedrooms and six bathrooms, it has 10-feet ceilings, ashy brown white-oak floorboards, a camera-equipped security system, a center-hall entry, a stair gallery, a formal living room with a marble fireplace, a formal dining room with a gilt-trimmed coffered ceiling, a small office/library with built-in bookshelves and another marble fireplace.
It doesn’t stop there. They said that the marble-countered eat-in kitchen is open to a family room with a third fireplace. There’s also an integrated surround-sound system and French doors to the yard. Next, they went on to describe the upstairs area. The upstairs bedrooms include a master suite with a fireplace, a private balcony, two walk-in closets and a bathroom with claw-footed tub and a marble-lined steam shower.
There’s a curtained loggia outside the family room which overlooks a verdantly landscaped backyard completely encircled by towering hedgerows. The house’s yard features the classic white picket fence which divides the yard in half. One half of the yard features a thick carpet of lawn, and on the other half features a swimming pool and spa.
Variety’s article also pointed out that Kevin used to own an ocean-front contemporary in Malibu and a ranch house in the Fryman Canyon area of Studio City, California. However, he had to hand those over to his ex-wife Jane Parker when he divorced her in 2017. He was able to keep ownership of two homes located on a famously celeb-lined street in the Hollywood Hills. One of them is being rented out for a whopping $7,500 per month. So, he is making use of some of that expensive property to bring in some cold, hard cash.
They also mentioned that Kevin shelled out another $2.55 million dollars on a secluded property that’s located in the mountains of Malibu, California. So, Grey’s Anatomy is definitely paying Kevin well. The leading lady Ellen Pompeo aka Meredith Grey isn’t the only one getting paid a wad of dough from that show.
They better hope it never ends. Of course, they would still get paid off the syndicated reruns. Anyways, that’s what Kevin McKidd is up to in the offseason. He’s spending that money, money, money baby.
Currently,there’s still no official word on what’s in store for the brand new season 15 other than the previous report of Kim Raver’s Teddy Altman character being bumped up to a season regular. We’re now approaching early June 2018. We might see a season premiere date get revealed in late July 2018 because ABC is always the last of the big networks to reveal the fall premiere dates for their TV shows.
