‘Pokemon Go’ Is Adding A Lot Of Important And Special Things To The Game This Week
Happy Monday, “Pokemon Go” fans. We’ve got some great news to share with you guys today. It turns out that Pokemon Go is about to launch a new update for the holidays, starting tomorrow, Tuesday, December 18, 2018! It’s going to feature a couple of new encounters, special tools you can use and more!
According to the folks over at Allgamers.com , this special Pokemon Go update is called the “Winter Wonders” update. It’s scheduled to last for only two weeks which means it will end on January 2, 2019. Some of the encounters that are said to be included are: the return of Santa Hat Pikachu, Ice-type Pokémon like Delibird will spawn more frequently, and the odds of hatching Ice-type Pokémon from Eggs will increase.
The Winter Wonders update will also include the option of being able to grab one egg incubator per day so users can hatch all their eggs. On certain days, Pokemon Go players will be able to get special bonuses. For your convenience, we’ve provided a list of special bonuses that will be available along with the dates they will be available on. The list is as follows:
On December 18 to 22, 2018, players will be able to Double Candy when they catch and transfer Pokémon.
On December 22 to 26, 2018, players will be able to Double Stardust when they catch Pokémon.

Along with all that great news, Allgamers.com is reporting that it has been confirmed an additional Pokémon from the Sinnoh region will arrive in Pokémon GO to start off the 2019 New Year! Unlike the Winter Wonders update, the additional Pokemon will be a permanent fixture to the game.
Shacknews.com provided some additional intel about the Winter Wonders update. They mentioned that the one incubator-a-day addition will be available when you spin your first PokeStop Photo Disc of the day. Players will also get more Pokemon in 7 km Eggs than normal. New monsters will hatch from the eggs, and they’ll keep showing up after the holidays.
As the weather gets colder outside, players will also see more Ice-type Pokemon arriving on the scene. Players will have a better chance of hatching Pokemon like Smoochum and Azurill from the Eggs as well as opportunities to capture an event-themed Pokemon.
Monsters originally discovered in Sinnoh will be available as well. Special Pikachus will arrive on the scene, wearing cute, little Santa hats. So, be on the lookout for those.
According to the folks at Polygon.com , it’s speculated, but not officially confirmed, players could see Azelf, Mesprit,Uxie and three mythical Pokémon that guard the lakes of Sinnoh. They came to this speculation because they’re shown in the Pokemon Go official promo pic for the update.
They also pointed out that the Delibird ,which was introduced to the game in 2017, always carries a sack of presents. So,you’ll definitely want to keep an eye out for the Delibird.
