New Pokemon Go, May 2019 Community Day Will Feature Torchic Pokemon, Bonuses & More
Happy Monday, “Pokemon Go” fans. We hope you guys had an excellent weekend. Next weekend should be fabulous for you guys because guess what? That’s when the new Pokemon Go community Day for May 2019 will arrive!
That’s right, guys. The exact day that the May 2019 Community Day is scheduled for is this Sunday afternoon, May 19,2019. So, be sure to go ahead and jot that very important date down on your event calendars.
According to a recent report from the folks over at Gamespot.com, the May 2019 Community day is going to feature another Gen 3 Pokemon. The event will last for another 3 hours from 3 pm to 6 pm for whatever timezone you live in.
During this very special event, you guys will be able to earn triple the amount of Stardust for every Pokemon you catch! That’s right, guys. Triple the freaking amount! So, get ready. Gamespot also said that any Lure Modules will remain active for a full three hours.
Next, Gamespot revealed that the Gen 3 Pokemon for the May 2019 Community Day will be the Gen 3 starter: Torchic. Torchic is fire type Pokemon that eventually evolves into Combusken starting at level 16. Then it eventually evolves into Blaziken starting at level 36.
Gamespot said the Torchic Pokemon is going to spawn in the wild more frequently than it normally does during the big Community day event. This will make it much easier for you guys to add this particular Pokemon to your collection.
Also, if any of you guys can manage to fully evolve a Torchic Pokemon into a Blaziken up to an hour after the Community Day ends, it’ll learn a special, event-exclusive move. This particular movie is currently a mystery.
It has yet to be announced according to the Gamespot article we’re reading. However, they do say the move might be revealed sometime this week by Pokemon Go’s developer Niantic. They say Niantic usually reveals it during the week of the Community Day event. So, be on the lookout for that.
In related news, as most of you are aware, a new Pokemon movie has recently released. It’s titled, “POKÉMON Detective Pikachu.” In light of that, the Pokemongolive.com site announced some special things that are happening from May 7, 2019 until Friday, May 17, 2019, 1 pm pacific standard time.
During this time, they say select Pokémon that were featured in the movie will appear in raids.
Pokémon that appear in the movie will show up more frequently in the wild. Some lucky players could be photobombed by a Pikachu in a detective hat, and given a chance to catch one of their very own!
There’s also some bonuses on the table during this time. Players will receive Double XP for catching Pokemon. There’s a Field research in play. Specially themed Field Research will be available for a limited time during this event. Lastly, themed avatar items will be available in the Style Shop.
