Legacies Season 2 Spoilers: New Vampire Might Be A Love Interest For Lizzie And More
Hey “Legacies” fans. We are back at you with the first, initial spoiler scoops from the big 2019 Comic-Con event out in San Diego, California. The cast and crew were out there this past Friday, July 19, 2019 to host a LIVE Q&A panel for all of their adoring fans.
We previously reported that the show is bringing on a new vampire that will be centuries old, but look very young. Well, now we have a face to go along with that vampire as he was revealed at Comic-Con. It will be actor Thomas Doherty (above right). Thomas Doherty’s acting resume includes roles in: Dracula tv show, Decendants 2: It’s Going Down tv movie, The Lodge tv show, Decendants 3 tv movie, Catherine the Great tv show and High Fidelity tv show.
Along with that casting scoop, they also revealed that Thomas’ character might be a possible new love interest for character Lizzie!
They stated of Thomas Doherty’s new vampire character, “He’s a very old vampire with old ideas about the way things work, but Lizzie might be into that.” Hmmm, ok.
Most of you will recall that Lizzie definitely had a thing for werewolf character Rafael in season 1. Vampire character MG totally had a thing for Lizzie, but Lizzie wasn’t exactly feeling MG like that.
Rafael wasn’t really feeling Lizzie like that. However, he did sleep with her during a moment of vulnerability. And even if Rafael was interested, he’s currently stuck as a werewolf. Poor thing.
But what about MG? Will he still try to compete for Lizzie? Not according to the Legacies panel at Comic-Con. They said MG is ready to move on in season 2. Good for him. There’s no use panting after someone who’s not really interested,right?
So, all this leaves Lizzie totally open to possibly exploring what this new,very old vampire has to offer. We’ll have to wait and see. Again, we can tell you that it was certainly implied that Lizzie might have a thing for the new vamp.
Lizzie won’t be the only sister with a possible romance this season. It turns out that Josie might find her a new love interest as well. The main showrunner Julie Plec recently told TV Guide that Josie and Lizzie are going to be spending some time apart, and Josie will experience a lot of new things. Some of which will include new friends and new romance.
Julie stated,”When they’re apart that opens a world up for Josie that’s very different than the world she lives in with Lizzie day by day. And actually, we’ll see her start to make new friends and maybe even some new romance.”
Now, we just mentioned that Lizzie and Josie will be apart from each other for some time in season 2, but where will they each be? Apparently, Lizzie will go spend time with Caroline in Europe. They didn’t specify if we’ll actually see scenes of this. So, we’ll have to wait and see if that happens.
As for Josie, she will spend time with Alaric at the school while Lizzie is away. Julie Plec stated of Lizzie spending time with Caroline, “We’re having a lot of fun with the idea that Lizzie is spending the summer in Europe with her mom, both doing some therapy and also touring all the hot boy hot spots of Europe.”
At the recent 2019 Comic-Con event, one of the other executive producers Brett Matthews revealed that they will have a special Christmas episode, and it will feature an evil Santa Claus.
So, instead of bringing gifts, this Santa will probably bring death and destruction. We’ll have to wait and see. They did say MG will have a problem with all of his friends cooking up a plan to off Santa Claus. So, that should be interesting.
As previously reported, season 2 is scheduled to start up on Thursday night, October 10, 2019 at approximately 8 pm central standard time on The CW.
