Big Brother July 22, 2021 Evicted Brandon “Frenchie” French. New HOH Revealed (Recap)
Hey, “Big Brother” fans. Tonight, July 22, 2021, another LIVE eviction show for Big Brother season 23 did indeed air, and another unlucky houseguest got sent packing.
Tonight’s episode kicked off with footage of what took place inside the house after the POV (Power Of Veto) ceremony when Derek X didn’t use it, keeping Frenchie and Britini on the block. Derek X told the Diary Room aka the private cams,”I decided not to use the veto this week because Frenchie is the target, and I didn’t want Kyland to get anymore blood on his hands.”
Kyland told the private cams, “I definitely want Frenchie to go home this week.” Derek F encouraged Frenchie to campaign to stay. They showed a segment of Britini doing some rapping. It was comical to say the least. Frenchie campaigned to stay, claiming he would play a much quieter game. He made this pitch to Sarah, Xavier, Brent, Alyssa and a few others. Each conversation took place separately.
Sarah talked to Kyland about the anniversary of her dad’s death. She said he passed away from the Covid 19 virus, and it was really sudden. No one saw it coming. Sarah told the private cams, “It was really comforting talking to Kyland.”
At one point, Kyland asked Brent, Derek X, Hannah and Whitney for safety if they win HOH. Derek X spoke up first saying, he would totally keep him safe, and the others followed suit. Derek X told the private cams he wasn’t sure how genuine the others were though.
Christian, Beth, Alyssa, Tiffany, Claire and Xavier promised Kyland safety. They also agreed to target Brent and Whitney next. Brent started talking to Whitney and Christian about getting rid of some of the girls for the next two weeks.
After all of that, the two eviction nominees Frenchie and Britini gave their plea speeches. Then, the rest of the houseguests minus Kyland casts their votes to evict.
Derek F voted to evict Britini. Claire, Sarah, Xavier, Christian, Whitney, Azah, Derek X, Tiffany, Brent, Hannah and Alyssa all voted to evict Frenchie. So, with a landslide vote of 11-1, Frenchie was indeed evicted from the Big Brother season 23 house tonight as expected. Frenchie gave everyone a hug on the way out.
Next, Frenchie gave his exit interview with host Julie Chen-Moonves. Julie told Frenchie she appreciated his classy exit. Frenchie told Julie he tried to make a change from the norm in the house with his extreme game play during the first week, and he’s proud that he did that.
After Frenchie’s exit interview, the remaining houseguests competed in a new HOH (Head Of Household) competition. This one was a quiz comp. When it was all said and done, Xavier emerged as the winner! So, Xavier is the new HOH for this upcoming week 3!
Julie revealed that another Wild Card twist could effect Xavier’s HOH reign this week. So, that could be interesting.
The eviction nomination ceremony and Wild Card challenge is expected to happen tomorrow, July 23, 2021. So, we will be back on here tomorrow with the results of those events.
