Hey, “American Idol” fans. Welcome to the brand new season 22 of American Idol. That’s right, guys. The brand new season is finally arriving tonight, February 18, 2024. ABC is going to serve up the very first premiere episode 1, and we’ve got some new preview details for it to run by you guys.
ABC was kind enough to dish up a new, official press release for tonight’s new, February 18, 2024 episode 1. So, we will certainly dig into it for this preview session. Let’s get to it.
In tonight’s new, February 18, 2024 premiere episode 1, you guys are going to see the return of celebrity judges: Luke Bryan, Katy Perry and Lionel Richie. We’re going to see footage of them hitting up Los Angeles, Nashville and their own hometowns to watch new auditions and try to discover the next, new singing sensation. Longtime host Ryan Seacrest will also be back to continue his hosting gig.
ABC’s official description for tonight’s new, February 18, 2024 episode 1 of American Idol season 22 reads like this, “American Idol: “Auditions. Season Premiere. With help from judges ,Luke Bryan, Katy Perry and Lionel Richie viewers embark on a nationwide search across Los Angeles, Nashville, and the judges’ very own hometowns to find the next singing sensation. Ryan Seacrest hosts.”
Also, the folks over at MJSbigblog.com were able to get a hold of a list of the contestants that will appear in tonight’s new episode 1. The first person on their list is: Ajii. He is a grunge and punk rock singer from Brooklyn, NY. The second person on their list is: Alto Moon. He is an Atlanta-based R&B singer.
Blake Proehl. He is a former Minnesota Vikings practice squad player. In his audition preview, he’s shown singing, “In Case You Didn’t Know” by Brett Young and is accompanied by his biggest encourager, his grandma.
Jack Blocker. He is an indie artist from Dallas, Texas who sings anything from folk to country to R&B. Kennedy Reid. She is a 23 year-old mortician and funeral director from New Albany, Indiana with a classic country sound.
Mackenzie Sol. He is a pop singer originally from Northern England, who auditioned for The X Factor UK at the age of 4 in 2005. McKenna Breinholt. She is a 25-year-old singer from Gilbert, Arizona. Meggie Iyer. She is a pop singer from Carmel, Indiana.
Micaela McCall is a children’s music instructor from Santa Barbara, California. Odell Bunton Jr. is a 29 year old singer from Arlington, Texas. Sariah Wertman is a singer who resides in Branson, Missouri. She sings old jazz and soul numbers, and Triston Harper is a 15 year-old country singer from Mcintosh, Alabama.
ABC’s press release confirmed that the new, premiere episode 1 of American Idol’s new season 22 is indeed scheduled to finally hit your TV screens tonight, February 18, 2024, starting at approximately 7 pm central standard time. It’s going to be a 2-hour event. So, expect it to wrap up at 9 pm central standard time.
