48 Hours March 16, 2024 Episode Not New. It’s A Repeat. Preview Revealed
Hey, “48 Hours” fans. We’re back to unfortunately let you know that tonight’s edition of 48 Hours will not be a new episode. It will indeed be a repeat. However, some of you guys might not have caught this episode during its original airing. So, we do have some preview info for it.
We’ve got an official press release from CBS for tonight’s repeat episode. So, we will certainly tell you exactly what it has to say right now. Let’s get to it.
This repeat episode of 48 Hours is officially titled, “Lamar Johnson: Standing in Truth.” It originally aired way, way back on April 29, 2023.
In this repeat episode, the 48 Hours team took a deep look at a story about a Missouri man named Lamar Johnson. He spent a whopping 28 years in prison for a murder he did not commit. The 48 Hours team interviewed him and the man who helped put him in prison. 48 Hours correspondent Erin Moriarty handled the reporting duties for this episode and case.
CBS’ official description for this repeat episode of 48 Hours reads like this, “Lamar Johnson was 21 in 1995 when he was charged with the murder of a friend, Markus Boyd. Johnson said he was several miles away with his girlfriend and daughter, but he was convicted and sentenced to life in prison primarily based on the testimony of Greg Elking, who picked Johnson out of a police lineup.
Nearly three decades later, Johnson’s conviction was vacated after Elking recanted his identification of Johnson. Now, Johnson tells the story of his fight to prove his innocence and Elking explains why he lied at Johnson’s trial. 48 HOURS correspondent Erin Moriarty reports in an encore of “Lamar Johnson: Standing in Truth.”
If any of you guys happened to have missed this repeat episode of 48 Hours when it originally aired, you might still want to flip on CBS tonight to catch it. If you did already see this one and have no desire to watch it again, you will certainly want to skip CBS tonight and get some alternate plans lined up.
Again, CBS confirmed that 48 Hours is a repeat episode tonight, March 16, 2024. It will hit the air, starting at approximately 9 pm central standard time. It will also be available for streaming on Paramount+.
