New CSI Vegas Season 4 Not Happening. CBS Canceled It
Hey, “CSI: Vegas” fans. We hope you guys totally enjoyed episode 10 tonight, especially since it will most certainly be the last episode of CSI: Vegas that you’ll ever see forever. Yep, tonight’s episode 10 was not only the season finale episode, but also the series finale.
According to the folks over at Deadline.com, CBS decided to go ahead and cancel CSI: Vegas last month in April 2024. It joined the other group of casualties over at CBS: NCIS: Hawaii and So Help Me Todd.
All of these shows performed pretty well, but the CBS line up of shows are just so competitive, right now, that they were just not good enough to make the cut. Plus, CBS decided to bring on some new shows, which also thinned the funding that is left to go around.
So, ultimately, CBS had to make some tough choices to let go of shows that were doing relatively well, but just not well enough. We’re also hearing that the budgets have gotten so tight that CBS’ FBI series is going to have to make fewer episodes next season. So, things are getting very intense.
According to the LIVE Nielsen ratings, CSI: Vegas season 3 averaged 4.224 million LIVE viewers per episode, and a 0.29 ratings score for the 18-49 year old demographics. The most recent episode 9, which aired last Sunday night, May 12, 2024, managed to draw in 4.159 million LIVE viewers, and a 0.25 ratings score.
The most-viewed episode was episode 5 with 4.562 million LIVE viewers. The least-viewed episode was episode 6 with 4.087 million LIVE viewers. The highest-rated episode was episode 5 with a 0.33 ratings score. The lowest-rated episode was episode 8 with a 0.24 ratings score. RIP (Rest In Peace) CSI: Vegas.
