New 20/20, May 31, 2024 Two Hour Episode Preview Revealed
Hey, “20/20” fans. It’s time for us to give you another new preview session for ABC’s 20/20. In this one, we’re going to take a look at what the 20/20 team is going to cover in the next, new episode 29 of this current season 46, which is due to show up tonight, May 31, 2024.
ABC put out an official press release for tonight’s new episode 29. So, that’s what we’ll be working off of in this preview session. Let’s get to it.
First thing’s first. There’s an official title for this new episode 29. It’s called, “A Deadly Scream.” In tonight’s new episode 29, the 20/20 team is going to take a deep look at a story about a case that sent a man named Zach Adams to prison for killing a 20 year old nurse named Holly Bobo.
Zach was convicted based on the testimony of a man named Jason Autry. However, Jason has recently come forward and said his testimony was completely made up. So, now, Zach’s lawyers are trying to get him a new trial.
ABC’s official description for tonight’s new episode 29 of 20/20 season 46 reads like this, “In 2011, a witness last saw 20-year-old nursing student Holly Bobo walking into the Tennessee woods with an unknown man. Three years later, authorities found her remains miles from her home. After the largest and most expensive investigation in the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation’s (TBI) history, authorities ultimately charged Zach Adams, Dylan Adams and Jason Autry with the kidnapping and murder of Holly.
Although there was little physical evidence and no DNA linking any of the men to the crime, a jury convicted Zach at trial, based mainly on Jason’s testimony, in which he stated that he had been present when Zach shot and killed Holly.
Dylan Adams and Jason Autry both eventually pleaded guilty to lesser charges. Earlier this year, Jason recanted his testimony, saying he made it all up, and while prosecutors stand by the conviction, lawyers for Zach are now asking a judge to grant him a new trial.”
ABC’s press release confirmed that 20/20 is indeed arriving with another brand new, episode tonight, May 31, 2024, starting at approximately 8 pm central standard time. It’ll be a 2-hour event. So, expect it to wrap up at 10 pm central standard time.
