Dancing With The Stars October 8 Eliminated Reginald, Emma, Eric & Britt (Recap)
Hey, “Dancing With The Stars” fans. Tonight, October 8, 2024, another new performances/results episode for Dancing With The Stars’ current season 33 did indeed hit the air, and we saw two unlucky couples get eliminated at the end of it.
The theme for tonight’s new, performance/results episode was “Hair Metal Night.” The judges: Derek Hough, Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonioli were all on hand along with a guest judge, which is the co-founder of the band KISS Gene Simmons.
Danny Amendola and Witney Carson kicked off tonight’s performances with a Paso Doble routine. Afterwards, Bruno said, “You put everything you had into it, but you have to keep the power without losing the artistry. You’ve got the power, but you need more finesse.” Carrie Ann said, “I loved your attitude and attack, but it needs to more finesse.” Derek said, “There were some timing issues, but it was well done.”
Carrie Ann gave Danny and Witney a 7 score, Derek a 7, Gene a 9 and Bruno a 7 for a total of 30 points out of a possible 40 points.
Reginald VelJohnson and Emma Slater served up a Cha Cha dance. Afterwards, Carrie Ann said, “You do less choreography than anyone else, but the audience is still with you.” Derek said, “Your upper half was good, but you were right on time.” Gene said, “It’s all in the attitude, and you have the attitude.” Bruno said, “You definitely had the look.” Carrie Ann gave Reginald and Emma a 6 score, Derek a 5, Gene a 5 and Bruno a 5 for a total of 21 points.
Chandler Kinney and Brandon Armstrong danced a Jive routine. Afterwards, Derek said, “You’re in a league of your own, but you need to work on your stamina.” Gene said, “You fogged up my glasses. You’ve got a future in dance, and you should stick with it.”
Bruno said, “You’re performing instincts are flawless. There was a little slip. You need to keep the flicks and kicks sharper.” Carrie Ann said, “You need to clean it up and hit it harder.” Carrie Ann gave Chandler and Brandon an 8 score, Derek an 8, Gene a 9 and Bruno an 8 for a total of 33 points.
Brooks Nader and Gleb Savchenko danced a Cha Cha. Afterwards, Gene said, “Your vibe and personality are out of this world.” Bruno said,”You deliver a good time, and it was improved all the way with your balance and movement.” Carrie Ann said, “This performance was focused and when a woman has something to prove, get out of her way.” Derek said, “This performance had clean lines and the epic overall dance.” Carrie Ann gave Brooks and Gleb an 8 score, Derek an 8, Gene a 9 and Bruno an 8 for a total of 33 points.
Stephen Nedoroscik and Rylee Arnold delivered a Foxtrot number. Afterwards, Bruno said, “You gave beautiful lines and heel leads.” Carrie Ann said, “I like that you took the notes and applied them. Storytelling is next.” Derek said, “I notice you worked on your frame and timing, but there needs to be more stride across the floor.” Gene said, “You have personality in your body.” Carrie Ann gave Stephen and Rylee an 8 score, Derek an 8, Gene an 8 and Bruno an 8 for a total of 32 points.
Dwight Howard and Daniella Karagach delivered a Paso Doble dance. Afterwards, Carrie Ann said, “I didn’t notice the height difference. You solved that problem.” Derek said, “You are the comeback king, and this might have been your best dance.”
Gene said, “You are a powerful and attractive man, and the dance was a slam dunk.” Bruno said, “This was a return to form, but you need to not break your hands in order to improve your shaping.” Carrie Ann gave Dwight and Daniella an 8 score, Derek a 7, Gene a 7 and Bruno a 7 for a total of 29 points.
Eric Roberts and Britt Stewart served up a Paso Doble dance. Afterwards, “Derek said, “I love your spirit, but you lost time.” Gene said, “You ruled it.” Bruno said, “Your attitude and intent were brilliant, and there was good content, but your timing was off.” Carrie Ann said, “I’m impressed at how you’re reconnecting with your own body, despite the mistakes in this routine.” Carrie Ann gave Eric and Britt a 6 score, Derek a 5, Gene a 6 and Bruno a 5 for a total of 22 points.
Ilona Maher and Alan Bersten danced a Jive number. Afterwards, Gene said, “This performance was magnificent.” Bruno said, “This looked wild and wonderful, and your attitude was perfect, but you went wrong many times.” Carrie Ann said, “I love how emotional and committed you are despite falling off the beat.” Derek said, “You should come back like the athlete you are after a setback.” Carrie Ann gave Ilona and Alan a 7 score, Derek a 6, Gene a 7 and Bruno a 6 for a total of 26 points.
Jenn Tran and Sasha Farber delivered a Paso Doble routine. Afterwards, Bruno said, “Sasha, you added everything the paso doble needs.” Carrie Ann said, “You dance on the edge, and you hit it.” Derek said, “I loved the knee walks across the floor.” Gene said, “You’re a steamy couple, and you delivered.” Carrie Ann gave Jenn and Sasha an 8 score, Derek an 8, Gene a 7 and Bruno an 8 for a total of 31 points.
Phaedra Parks and Val Chmerkovskiy danced a Paso Doble number. Afterwards, Carrie Ann said, “I noticed some mistakes. Derek said, “I noticed some mistakes, but this was a more dynamic performance.” Gene said, “I like a bad boy and bad girl.” Bruno said, “You need to work on your free arm.” Carrie Ann gave Phaedra and Val a 7 score, Derek a 7, Gene a 5 and Bruno a 7 for a total of 26 points.
Joey Graziadei and Jenna Johnson wrapped up tonight’s performances with a Tango routine. Afterwards, “Derek said, “This was one of the best tangos that I’ve seen from a male celebrity ever. The movements were so precise.” Gene said, “You have the goods.” Bruno said,”That is how you rock a tango and completely proper. Your footwork and leg action were stunning.” Carrie Ann said, “This performance was phenomenal.” Carrie Ann gave Joey and Jenna a 9 score, Derek a 9, Gene a 9 and Bruno a 9 for a total 36 points.
