New Dateline NBC October 18 Episode Preview Reveals A Cop Murder Trial & More
Hey, “Dateline NBC” fans. We’re back in action with another preview session. In this one, we’re going to take a look at what you can expect to see from the next, new episode 4 of this current season 33, which is scheduled to make its arrival tonight, October 18, 2024.
NBC put out an official press release for tonight’s new episode 4. So, we will certainly pull it up for this preview session. Let’s get into it.
First thing’s first. There is an official title for this new episode 4. It’s called, “The Night Of The Nor’easter.” In tonight’s new episode 4, the Dateline NBC team is going to take a look at the latest developments of a murder trial that features a woman named Karen Read. She’s being accused of killing her boyfriend John O’ Keefe who was actually a Boston police officer.
Correspondents Andrea Canning and Dennis Murphy will handle the reporting duties for this episode and case. It will feature interviews with Karen Read, giving her side of the story and how she was horrified when she found John’s dead body, Read’s high-profile attorney, Alan Jackson, who provides an exclusive, behind-the-scenes look into the defense’s strategy meetings detailing their theory that Read was framed by police.
This episode also includes interviews with John O’Keefe’s friends and family and explores the toll that his death and the trial have taken on them, including harassment they endured from Read’s supporters outside the courthouse.
NBC’s official description for tonight’s new episode 4 of Dateline NBC’s current season 33 reads like this, “Dateline NBC will air an all-new, two-hour special on Friday, October 18, at 9 p.m. ET/8 p.m. CT, covering the latest developments in the high-profile murder trial of Karen Read. Read is accused of killing her boyfriend, Boston police officer John O’Keefe, by reversing her car into him after a night of drinking.
This broadcast gives viewers a front-row seat inside the tense courtroom where dramatic moments that captivated the nation played out. Read is set to stand trial again after a mistrial was declared earlier this year. She has pleaded not guilty.”
An alternate description tells us, “DATELINE NBC TO AIR TWO-HOUR SPECIAL THIS FRIDAY ON LATEST IN KAREN READ MURDER CASE. This Broadcast Features Interviews with Read & Her Attorney, Plus Family and Friends of Victim.”
Again, NBC’s press confirmed that Dateline NBC is indeed scheduled to show up with another new episode tonight, October 18, 2024 in the 8 pm central standard time slot. It will be a 2-hour event. So, expect it to wrap up at 10 pm central standard time.
