Young And The Restless To Bring Back Kevin Fisher Character, New Details
According to a new report from soapcentral, the crew for CBS’ hit soap opera, “The Young And The Restless” is set to bring back actor Greg Rikaart (above) to reprise his Kevin Fisher character. This is pretty wild news because he had just announced his departure from the show back in May 2017!
He made a big statement about it too. It was about how he’d been on the show for 14 years and how he was sad to go. He talked about how fulfilling the role was for him. He even gave us backstory about when he was first cast as a guest role and how it turned into a permanent gig. It was very heartfelt to say the least.
Well, now we can just chunk all that out the window because he’s coming right on back after just a few short months! Soapcentral’s setside source has let them know that Greg will definitely be back in just a few short weeks to reprise the Kevin Fisher role once more.
When we last saw Kevin in action, he was getting the bejeezus scared out of him by Chloe when she rose out of her casket at a funeral after faking her death. After that, they decided to leave Genoa City with plans to start a new life with their daughter in Portland, Oregon. However, there was a major problem with these sneaky plans. Dr. Harris and Victor knew that Chloe was still alive.
Currently, there hasn’t been a confirmed exact date for when Kevin’s character will be back onscreen or what exactly he’ll be up to when he shows back up. There was a Twitter post back on August 3,2017 by @YRInsider that featured a photo of Rikaart on the set with actor Christian LeBlanc who play’s Eric’s brother Michael Baldwin. It was captioned with the words, “Reunited and it feels so good! #YR #backonset.”
Christian LeBlanc also posted a new picture of he and Rikaart on his official Instagram. It included the following caption, “BROTHERS ARE THE BEST PEOPLE! @gregrikaart @youngandrestlesscbs @cbsdaytime #YR J’ADORE MON FRERE! #LFDLA.”
Soapcentral indicated that they tried to reach out to a Young And The Restless representative to get more intel about this new development with Rikaart. Unfortunately, that didn’t work out as the rep told them, “We don’t comment on casting.”
