Grey’s Anatomy Season 14 Is Possibly About To Lose Another Character. Plus New Episode 13 Airdate
Hey, “Grey’s Anatomy” fans. We’ve got some possible bad news for you guys. It turns out that we might be seeing one of the semi-important characters leave the show due to landing another acting gig on a different network.
According to a new report from the folks over at Moviefone.com, actress Jeanine Mason who plays one of the interns on the show Sam Bello has gotten hired to be a lead character on one of CW’s new shows called, “Rosewell.” She will be playing the character of Liz.
If The CW decides to actually pick up the show beyond its pilot episode, it’s pretty certain that Jeanine won’t have time to keep showing up on the set of Grey’s Anatomy to portray Sam any longer. And it’s highly possible that The CW will pick this show up. It’s being directed by Julie Plec who has had a couple of successful shows for The CW. Those shows are: “Vampire Diaries” and “The Originals.” Rosewell is also being written by Carina Adly MacKenzie who wrote for “The Originals.”
The synopsis for this new “Roswell” show reads like this, “Reluctantly returning to her tourist-trap hometown of Roswell, New Mexico, Liz Ortecho (Mason), a jaded biomedical researcher and the daughter of undocumented immigrants, is haunted by a tragic incident.
She discovers a shocking truth about her teenage crush who is now a police officer: He’s an alien who has kept his unearthly abilities hidden his entire life. She protects his secret as the two reconnect and begin to investigate his origins, but when a violent attack and long-standing government cover-up point to a greater alien presence on Earth, the politics of fear and hatred threaten to expose him and destroy their deepening romance.”
This is a reboot of the original Rosewell show. Originally, actress Shiri Appleby portrayed the Liz character. Now, Grey’s Anatomy’s Jeanine Mason aka Sam Bello will portray her. She’s reportedly been hopping on her official Twitter account to express her excitement for her new, possible main job. What do you guys think of Jeanine aka Sam Bello possibly leaving Grey’s Anatomy? Are you sad about it? Are you happy? Or do you not care one way or the other? Let us know in the comments.
This possible Sam departure is a bit of a surprise because it was believed by many that she would be Andrew Deluca’s new love interest moving forward. Recently, Sam has been busy trying to rekindle their old flames for each other. We’ll just have to wait and see how that works out.
