Grey’s Anatomy Season 15 Is Bringing On A New Female Character After The Winter Break
Happy Thursday, Grey’s Anatomy fans. Finally, some more news has broke regarding the current season 15 of your favorite show which is currently on a long, winter break hiatus. It turns out that they are going to bring an older, more mature lady into the mix at some point after the winter break is over.
According to the folks over at TV Line.com , The Grey’s Anatomy production crew has hired former Dirty Dancing actress Jennifer Grey to come on and play an assumed short story arc. Unfortunately, the ABC rep that TVLine spoke to refused to reveal any other details about Jennifer Grey’s new role. So, we don’t have a name for her character or what she’ll be up to when she arrives.
However, that has not stopped people from heavily speculating on who her character is. It’s highly speculated that she could play character Jo Wilson’s estranged mother. It was previously reported that Jo Wilson’s portrayer Camilla Luddington did confirm we will see Jo’s parents arrive on the scene this season.
For those of you who are unfamiliar with Jennifer Grey, you can view photos of her on her official IMDB page by Clicking Here, TV Line pointed out that Jennifer Grey’s father Joel Grey actually appeared on Grey’s Anatomy way back in season 6. They say Joel portrayed an Alzheimer’s-afflicted, former science teacher of Izzie’s (Katherine Heigl) whom she sought medical treatment for after helping him flee a nursing home.
Jennifer Grey also competed on ABC’s hit celebrity dance show “Dancing With The Stars” a few years back. 2010 to be exact. Dance pro Derek Hough was her dancing partner, and they actually won that season. She was great. She still had all her great dancing skills from when she acted in “Dirty Dancing” with the late Patrick Swayze.
Aside from Dirty Dancing and Dancing With The Stars, Jennifer Grey has appeared in numerous other productions. Her acting resume is super long. She’s had roles in “Bloodhounds Of Broadway,” Murder In Mississippi, Criminal Justice tv movie, If The Shoe fits tv movie, Eyes Of a Witness tv movie, Wind, A Case For Murder tv movie, Friends tv show, Fallen Angels tv show, The West Side Waltz, Lover’s Knot, Portraits Of A Killer, Red Meat.

In related news, TV Line revealed that ABC did indeed confirm that Grey’s Anatomy season 15 is set to return to action on Thursday, January 17, 2019 at approximately 7 pm central standard time. TV Line also pointed out that Grey’s Anatomy’s spin off show Station 19 is getting temporarily replaced in the ABC line up until the Spring 2019. During Station 19’s absence, ABC will try and push a new drama called, “A Million Little Things.” It will air in the 8 pm central time slot.
So, if any of you guys like the Station 19 spin off show, you will unfortunately have to wait a little longer for it to continue its current second season. There was no exact date given for Station 19’s return date.
