Hey, “20/20” fans. We’re back on here to inform you that the 20/20 news steam is serving up a new, 8-week limited series called, “Bad Romance.” It’s hosted by ABC News contributor Ryan Smith. It features some of the most shocking romance stories of the past decade. These romance stories end in a tragic crime, and we’ve got some new preview information for tonight’s new, premiere episode 1.
ABC put out an official press release for this new episode 1. So, we will certainly reference it for this preview sessions. Let’s get to it. To start, ABC let us know that tonight’s new episode 1 of 20/20 Bad Romance does have an official title. It’s called,”Dangerous Game.”
In tonight’s new, January 22, 2024 episode 1, the 20/20: Bad Romance team took a deep look at a story about a Quincy, Illinois couple named Tim and Becky Bliefnick. They were a very busy couple. Becky was attending nursing school while trying to raise two young children with another on the way.
Tim won the chance to go on a game show with his mother, dad and brothers. However, Becky was too busy to tag along. While on the game show, Tim joked that he regrets his marriage. Then, one month later, one of the Bliefnicks turned up dead. The investigators that worked this case found a grainy surveillance video of a ghostly figure on a bike. This episode will break down all the details of this strange case.
ABC’s official description for tonight’s new episode 1 of 20/20 Bad Romance season 1 reads like this, “Kicking off the primetime event is “Dangerous Game,” featuring Quincy, Illinois, couple Tim and Becky Bliefnick. Tim and Becky are busy. They both work, and Becky is also in nursing school, all while raising two young children with one on the way.

ABC’s press release confirmed that the new, premiere episode 1 of 20/20 Bad Romance’s new, premiere episode 1 is indeed scheduled to hit your TV sets tonight, January 22, 2024, starting at approximately 9 pm central standard time. This episode will be a 1-hour event. So, expect it to wrap up at 10 pm central standard time.
