20/20 July 5, 2024 Episode Not New. It’s A Repeat. Preview Revealed
Hey, “20/20” fans. We’re back in your faces to give you guys some very important info about your favorite news show 20/20. It turns out that ABC is dropping an episode for it tonight, July 5, 2024, but it will be a repeat episode. Some of you guys might not have caught this particular repeat episode during its original airing. So, we do have some preview information for it.
The ABC people put out an official press release for this repeat episode. So, we’re going to run that info by you right now. Let’s go.
First off, this repeat episode is officially labeled/titled, “Laura Lee Day.” It originally aired way back on June 3, 2022. In this repeat episode, the 20/20 team took a deep look at a story about a Texas woman named Laura Day. She was a housewife who seemed to have the perfect life until she was charged and convicted for the death of her 6 year old stepson Taylor Syring. ABC News anchor John Quinones interviewed Laura from prison in this episode to get her side of the story.
ABC’s official description for this repeat episode of 20/20 reads like this, “Texas housewife Laura Day seemed to have it all: a large home on the water, a loving marriage with her husband, David Syring, and a close relationship with her 6-year-old stepson, Taylor Syring. But when Taylor drowned on a beach trip with Day under suspicious circumstances, police discovered her shocking criminal past, and the façade of her picture-perfect life quickly came crashing down.
A two-hour “20/20,” in collaboration with Plum Pictures, features ABC News anchor John Quiñones’ interview with Day from prison following her first-degree capital murder conviction for Taylor’s death. In the interview, Day opens up about what she claims really happened that day and her past crimes of bigamy and murder while also maintaining her innocence in Taylor’s death, alleging it was an accident.”
Again, ABC’s press release confirmed that 20/20 is showing up with a repeat episode tonight, July 5, 2024, starting at approximately 8 pm central standard time.
