Hey, “60 Minutes” fans. We’re back in action to let you know that the CBS people are dropping another repeat episode of 60 Minutes tonight, September 8, 2024, and we’ve got some preview information for it just in case you guys missed this one the first time it hit the air. Also, make note that brand new episodes will finally start back up on Sunday night, September 22, 2024 with the premiere of the new season 57.
CBS was kind enough to give us an official press release for tonight’s repeat episode. So, we’re going to dive right into it for this preview session. Let’s get to it.
Tonight’s repeat episode will feature just one segment that has previously aired in one of the past episodes. This repeat segment is titled, “9.11 THE FDNY.” CBS’s official description for it reads like this, “While the nation remembers the terrorist attacks that killed thousands of Americans 23 years ago, New York City firefighters sent to rescue victims at the World Trade Center will relive a life-changing experience that’s now a part of who they are.
“It’s a day that will never leave you,” former Fire Department of New York commissioner Dan Nigro tells Scott Pelley. Nigro and other firefighters who were at Ground Zero, many of whom fill the top ranks of the FDNY, recall the men, their sacrifices and the tragedy of losing 343 of their colleagues. This segment runs the entire hour. Maria Gavrilovic is the producer.”
Again, CBS’ press release confirmed that 60 Minutes is indeed showing up with another repeat episode tonight, September 8, 2024 in the 6 pm central standard time slot. It will also be available for streaming on Paramount+. Again, new episodes of 60 Minutes are officially scheduled to start up on Sunday night, September 22, 2024.
