Survivor October 2 Voted Off Aysha Welch (Recap)

Hey, “Survivor” fans. tonight, October 2, 2024, another new episode of Survivor’s current season 47 did indeed hit the air, and we saw another unlucky contestant get voted off and sent home at the end of it.

Tonight’s new episode kicked off with the Tuku tribe talking about their last tribal council meeting, which sent TK packing. Caroline told the private cams, “The vote went exactly the way I wanted it to go. It was perfect.” Sue told the private cams that she’s looking to get revenge on Kyle for voting against her at the last tribal council meeting.

At Gata, Sam told the private cams, “It seems like Anika is trying to take control of the entire tribe. I’m pissed off.” At Lavo, Aysha and Rome ran into some friction over him eating most of the fish. Rome told the private cams he did all the work to catch the fish.

At Gata, Andy told Sierra he’s willing to give her his shot in the dark in order to get her on his side in this game. Sierra told the private cams, “Andy giving me his shot in the dark built a lot of trust with me.”

At Tuku, Gabe told Kyle, “I really want to work with you.” Kyle acted like he reciprocated those feelings. So, Gabe went onto tell Kyle that he wants to target Tiyana. Kyle told the private cams, “I would never go after Tiyana, and I want to get the numbers to go after Gabe.” So, he ran and told Sue about Gabe’s plan.

Sue told the private cams that she’s reluctant to believe Kyle because he’s on the bottom, and he voted against her at the last tribal council meeting. Kyle told the private cams that he could tell Sue wasn’t really feeling him and that he doesn’t know what to do about her.

At this point, it was time for another special boat trip journey for a contestant from each tribe. Rome went from the Lavo tribe. Kyle went from the Tuku tribe and Anika went from the Gata tribe. After their boat trip, they talked game for a bit and then took a separate path where they got presented with an advantage challenge. During this challenge, they were forced to pull a card that would either say they lost a vote or gained an advantage.

Kyle selected a “lose a vote” card. So, he lost his vote at the next tribal council meeting. He was given another chance to try and pull the advantage card, but chose not to in fear of pulling another lose a vote card. The same thing happened with Anika. So, she lost a vote at the next tribal council meeting. For Rome, it was different. He actually pulled a card that gave him a steal a vote advantage. So, he was ecstatic about that.

At Gata, Anika lied to Andy about losing her vote, and she told Sierra and Rachel about it. They thought she made the right move in not telling Andy. At Lavo, Rome told Teeny that he won the steal a vote advantage. Teeny told the private cams, “I’d rather roll with Rome than go against him. Plus, I think he’s loyal since he told me about the advantage.”

Next, host Jeff Probst showed up with a new immunity challenge, which doubled as a reward challenge. During it, each tribe member had to climb to the top of a large tower. Jump into the water to collect some keys from a buoy while making it through a balance beam obstacle. Then, solve a Survivor sea horse puzzle for the win. Gata won it in first place. Tuku won it in second place. Lavo lost. So, they had to figure out who to vote out at the tribal council meeting.

For the reward, Gata won a tarp and two hammocks. The second place Tuku tribe won a smaller tarp. At Lavo, Teeny told the private cams that Aysha and Solomon aka Sol are targets. Teeny told Aysha, “I wouldn’t be comfortable with you going home.” Teeny told the private cams, “Aysha would have to work with me to get out Sol if she wants to stay.”

Rome told Teeny he wanted Aysha to be the target, but she talked him into leaning toward Sol. Rome told the private cams, “I’ve actually been wanting to get Sol out since the beginning. So, I’m glad the vote has flipped from Aysha to Sol.”

Meanwhile, Rome lied to Sol about the target, saying it’s Aysha. Sol told the private cams that he thought Rome was lying to him. Teeny and Kishan told Aysha that Rome has an idol, and they need to vote off Sol. Aysha told them she didn’t want to vote off Sol and refused to do it. So, Kishan and Teeny ran back and told Rome about it heading into the tribal council meeting.

At the Lavo tribal council meeting, they did some general game talk before casting their votes. Before the votes were revealed, Rome played his immunity idol on himself. So, any votes against him would not count.

Sol ended up getting 1 vote, Rome 1 vote, Genevieve 1 vote and Aysha received 3 votes. So, with the 3 votes, Aysha got voted off. She said, “That really hurts. Not gonna lie. Good luck” on the way out.

Aysha told the private cams, “People on TV make Survivor look so much easier than it is. To last 7 days, I have to pat myself on the back.”
