New 48 Hours October 26 Episode Preview Reveals Fatal Shooting Scandal And More
Hey, “48 Hours” fans. We’re back with another new preview session for you guys. In this one, we’ve got details for what will be shown in the next, new episode 6 of this current season 37, which is due out tonight, October 26,2024.
We were able get an official press release for this new episode 6 from the CBS people. So, we’re going to dive into it for this preview session. Let’s get to it.
For starters, we’ve got the official title for this new episode 6. It’s called, “The Strange Shooting of Alex Pennig.” In tonight’s new episode 6, the 48 Hours team is going to take a deep look at a story about a Minnesota woman named Alex Pennig.
She was a 32-year old nurse before she was found fatally shot in the head in her apartment. Her friend Matthew Ecker told the cops that Alex had shot herself. However, upon further investigation, the cops noticed that the gun was found in Alex’s left hand, but she was actually right-handed. This led them to think some foul play might have been involved.
Contributor Natalie Morales handled the reporting duties for this episode and case, and it shows how the investigators went on to crack this case.
CBS’ official description for this new episode 6 of 48 Hours season 37 reads like this, “Police were called to the Minnesota apartment of 32-year-old nurse Alex Pennig in December 2022. Her friend, Matthew Ecker, told first responders that Pennig had shot herself in the head. Officers arrived to find Pennig lying on her back in the bathroom.
However, officers noted unusual findings, including the position Alex was found in. The gun was found with her left hand on it, but Alex was right-handed. So, was it a tragic, self-inflicted act, or something more sinister? CBS News correspondent and 48 HOURS contributor Natalie Morales dives deep into this complex case and how investigators pieced it together in an all-new episode, “The Strange Shooting of Alex Pennig.”
