New 9-1-1 October 31 Episode 6 Delayed, Preempted. Not Airing Tonight
Hey, “9-1-1” fans. Unfortunately, we have some bad news to drop on you in this article. Yep, it turns out that the ABC people have some other TV obligations to fulfill tonight, October 31, 2024. So, they are not airing the next, new episode 6 of this current season 8 tonight. You’re going to have to wait an extra week to see it.
According to ABC’s official episode 6 press release, they don’t plan to air the new episode 6 until next Thursday night, November 7, 2024 in its usual, 7 pm central standard time slot. So, certainly be sure to memorize that very important date and time if you can.
We did find out why ABC is not airing a new episode of 9-1-1 tonight. According to the TV Guide listings, ABC has cleared out their entire primetime line up to provide LIVE coverage for an NBA basketball game that features the Houston Rockets vs. the Dallas Mavericks.
ABC’s LIVE coverage of this basketball game will begin with a LIVE pregame show in the 7 pm central standard time slot. Then, in the 7:30 pm time slot, their LIVE coverage of the game will begin.
ABC’s official description for their LIVE coverage of this NBA basketball game reads like this, “NBA Basketball. Houston Rockets at Dallas Mavericks Live. Houston completes a road swing with some trick-or-treating in Dallas. The Mavericks have been a frightening sight for the Rockets since 2021-22, winning 10 of 12 meetings. Luka Doncic (DAL) has totaled 43 points through two home victories in 2024-25.”
If any of you guys also happen to be NBA basketball fans by any chance, you might still want to flip on ABC tonight to checkout their LIVE coverage of it. If that is not the case, and you just want to see a new episode of 9-1-1, you will certainly want to make some alternate plans for tonight and check back next week.
Again, ABC confirmed that the next, new episode 6 of 9-1-1’s current season 8 is scheduled to finally make its way to the air next Thursday night, October 31, 2024 in its usual, 7 pm central standard time slot.
