New 22 Jump Street Movie Delivered Great Laughs,Action & More

Columbia Pictures (Sony) released their new comedy/action flick, “22 Jump Street” into theaters this weekend. I just checked it out, and thought it was very good, serving up a ton of laughs,action, super crazy twists, and more. It stars: Jonah Hill, Channing Tatum, Ice Cube, Amber Stevens, and Craig Roberts.

In the new flick, characters, Schmidt (Jonah Hill) and Jenko (Channing Tatum) get sent out on another assignment. But instead of high school, they infiltrate a college to get the intel on a supplier of a drug, called, “Wi-Fi” that’s supposed to make its users really sharp and focused for 4, straight hours. However, the death of one of the female students who was taking and supposedly dealing the drug, sparked up this big investigation.

While undercover, Jenko immediately hits it off with a bunch football jocks while Schmidt was kind of the odd man out, and that was pretty much a continuous theme as they kept investigating. New 22 Jump Street Movie Received Mostly Positive Reviews From Major Critics

Columbia Pictures (Sony) released their new action/comedy film, “22 Jump Street,” into theaters yesterday, June 12th, and the top movie critics have delivered up their reviews. It turns out that the movie went over fairly well with most of them as it got an overall 72 score out of a possible 100 across 39 reviews over at the Metacritic.com site.

The film stars: Jonah Hill, Channing Tatum, Ice Cube, Amber Stevens, and Craig Roberts. We’ve posted blurbs from a few of the critics,below.

Ty Burr from the Boston Globe, gave it a great 88 score, saying, “A hugely enjoyable shambles. It’s a comic deconstruction of that most useless of Hollywood artifacts — the blockbuster sequel — that refuses to take itself seriously on any level, which, face it, is just what we need as the summer boom-boom season shifts into high gear.” Read more »

New Avatar 2 To Bring Back Sigourney Weaver As A Different Character,New Details

Recently, the folks over at The Hollywood Reporter were able to chat it up with “Avatar” movie director, James Cameron, and he dropped some major news by revealing that Sigourney Weaver, whose Grace Augustine character died in the first film, will end up returning, anyways, as a completely different character in part 2 and beyond, sort of pulling an “American Horror Story” trick on us.

Cameron told them: “Sigourney and I have a long creative history, dating back to 1985 when we made Aliens. We’re good friends who’ve always worked well together,so it just feels right that she’s coming back for the Avatar sequels. Her character of Grace Augustine, as fans know, died in the first movie, so she’s playing a different and in many ways more challenging character in the upcoming films. Read more »

Robert Pattinson As New Indian Jones 5 Reportedly Not Happening,New Details

A couple of days ago, a crazy as hell rumor was spread, claiming that former Twilight Saga main man, Robert Pattinson (left), was the studio’s top billing candidate to play the new Indiana Jones in their next reboot. However, E! Online and their source recently dug into this story, and found out that it’s simply not true. Sorry Twi-hards.

In addition to this rumor crushing intel, E! Online did reveal their five top pics for who should be the new Indiana Jones. One of them definitely seemed like good choice. New Tom Cruise ‘Edge Of Tomorrow’ Movie Delivered Great Plot,Action,Drama & More

Warner Bros. Pictures released their new Tom Cruise branded, Sci-Fi/thriller flick, “Edge Of Tomorrow” into theaters this weekend. I just checked it out, and thought it was absolutely great. The plotline was super intriguing from beginning to end. It offered up a plethora of hardcore,nonstop action and drama. It stars: Tom Cruise, Emily Blunt, Bill Paxton, Jeremy Piven, Ciaran Hinds, Noah Taylor, Kick Gurry, Dragomir Mrsic, Charlotte Riley, Jonas Armstrong, Franz Drameh, Masayoshi Haneda, and Tony Way.

In the new flick, the world has been battling an alien species, called the Mimics, for the past 5 years. NATO militaries have federated to create the United Defense Forces (UDF), with defeats escalating as the war continues. As the Mimics tighten their grip on Europe, the introduction of armed mechanized exoskeletons ,called Jackets, allows the UDF to achieve a decisive victory at Verdun.

From there, we get introduced to Major William Cage (Tom Cruise), who is a UDF spokesman and officer in the United States Army Reserve that eventually gets stripped of his rank after trying to blackmail a General. Read more »

Warner Bros. Pictures released their new Tom Cruise branded, Sci-Fi/thriller flick, “Edge Of Tomorrow” into theaters this weekend, and the reviews from the top critics, are all in. It turns out that most of them liked it with an overall 71 score out of a possible 100 across 43 reviews at the metacritic.com site.

New Angelina Jolie Maleficent Movie Delivered Cool Special Effects,Major Twist & More

Walt Disney Pictures released their new Angelina Jolie branded, fantasy flick, “Maleficent,” into theaters this weekend. I just checked it out, and thought it was pretty entertaining ,featuring a lot of great special effects,drama, a pretty big twist in the end, and more. The movie stars: Angelina Jolie, Sharlto Copley, Elle Fanning, Sam Riley, Imelda Staunton, Juno Temple, and Lesley Manville.

In the new flick, we were served up some backstory for Maleficent (Angelina Jolie), which revealed why she became so evil and full of hate. It turns out she was a good child fairy at the start and helped protect a peaceable forest kingdom. She met a young lad named Stefan and eventually fell in love with him. However, Stefan had other ambitions that grew greater than his love and spending time with Maleficent.

From there, we get bumped ahead in the story’s timeline. Maleficent is all grown up now, and in the midst of protecting her forest kingdom from a dark ruler, King Henry, and his army. It just so happens that Stefan is apart of King Henry’s crew. Read more »

New Angelina Jolie ‘Maleficent’ Movie Received Mixed Reviews From Major Critics

Walt Disney Pictures released their new Angelina Jolie branded fantasy flick, “Maleficent,” into theaters today, May 30th, and all the reviews from the top movie critics are in. It turns out that it just seems to be ok,getting mixed reviews with an overall 56 score out of 100 across 38 reviews at Metacritic.com.

The movie stars: Angelina Jolie, Sharlto Copley, Elle Fanning, Sam Riley, Imelda Staunton, Juno Temple, and Lesley Manville. We’ve supplied blurbs from a few of the critics,below.

Joe Neumaier at the New York Daily News, gave it a great 80 score, stating: “Angelina Jolie is so wickedly enchanting in the magical, magnificent Maleficent, you may not notice how transporting this female-driven blockbuster really is.”

Sheri Linden from the The Hollywood Reporter, gave it an 80. She stated: “A few bumpy patches notwithstanding, the new feature is an exquisitely designed, emotionally absorbing work of dark enchantment.” Read more »

New X Men,Days Of Future Past Movie Delivered Great Action,Drama,Plot & More

20th Century FOX released their new super hero/action flick, “X-Men: Days Of Future Past” into theaters this weekend. I just checked it out, and thought it was excellent ,serving up a ton of great action, intriguing plotline, suspense,special effects, and more. It stars: Hugh Jackman, Ian McKellen, Patrick Stewart, James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence, Michael Fassbender, Nicholas Hoult, Anna Paquin, Halle Berry, Ellen Page, and Shawn Ashmore.

The new flick starts off in a dystopian future, where tons of mutants are being wiped out of existence by high-powered Sentinels that are able to adapt to each mutants’ abilities, making them virtually indestructible. From there, it’s revealed that these Sentinels were created as a direct result of Mystique hunting down the Sentinels creator, Bolivar Trask, back in 1973 and killing him.

She thought it would stop the creation of the Sentinels, but instead, it drove the government to capture Mystique, and use her blood to find out how to create the ultimate Sentinels that could mimic her abilities to adapt to all mutants and destroy them. Read more »
