Music video for Lady Gaga’s “Poker Face” song. “Poker Face”, is the second single released on Lady Gaga’s first studio album entitled, “The Fame”. It was released in September 2008 in some markets. Then it was released in early 2009, world wide. She performed this song on the 8th season of American Idol. It has been well received by topping the charts in over seventeen countries including the USA, UK, Australia, New Zealand, Canada and the rest of the European countries.
The “Poker Face” music video was directed by Ray Kay and premiered on October 22,2008. It shows her playing strip poker, dancing around, and sharing kisses with other party guests as well as other scenarios. “Poker Face” debuted at 92 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 charts and reached the top 10 at # 6 on March 7,2009. Then on march 14, 2009 it reached # 3. It stayed in that spot for another two weeks. On April 4,2009 it hit # 2, and then jumped to # 1 the following week making it her second consecutive single to hit # 1 which is the first time this has happend since Christina Aguilera came with ” Genie In a Bottle” and “What a Girl Wants” back in 1999-2000. She is the first artist since Madonna to hit the top of all three dance charts in a single week. Madonna did so with her 2006 single entitled, “Sorry”.
This is sort of a techno song with a mid to up tempo beat. It sounds ok. I like some of her other songs a lot better.
