Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes Movie delivered interesting drama, action & more.
20th Century Fox released their new action/sci-fi flick “Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes” into theaters this weekend . I just watched it,and thought it was a very interesting movie as it focused on the origins of the planet of the apes. The movie stars: James Franco, Freida Pinto, John Lithgow, Brian Cox, Tom Felton, David Oyelowo, and Andy Serkis.
In the flick, scientist Will Rodman (James Franco) worked hard to discover a solution to many mental problems that exist, and tested a particular solution out on a chimp, which showed promising results. Unfortunately, that chimp got shot when it went on a wild rampage to protect her newborn son named Ceasar.
Will eventually rescued Ceasar from being killed off with the rest of the chimps after his mother tore up the place. Ceasar lived with Will in private, and started to show signs of extreme intelligence because it was discovered that the mental solution had passed from his mother to him.
Ceasar was able to communicate using sign language, hand gestures, and so forth. He lived with Will until he attacked a man one day, trying to protect Will’s sick father. After that, Ceasar was court-ordered to be put in a violent ape shelter for at least 90 days.
Although reluctant to stay there at first,Ceasar grew close to his new ape family, and eventually decided to make them smart like him. At this point, is where the real fun began. He taught them to become an army, which led to a huge action-filled conclusion, resulting in the chimps using their new “smarts” to escape out of the city by any means necessary, and back into the wild where they felt they belonged. At two instances,Ceasar started talking. It was wild.
I enjoyed watching the film because it was really, really interesting, and delivered a lot high intense actin scenes towards the end. Also, it was pretty cool to see a chimp outsmart humans. I thought James Franco did a good job playing the scientist/caring monkey parent role, and Tom Felton from the Harry Potter flicks got a new gig in this as the violent, bratty ape, shelter worker named Dodge Landon.
I guess some things never change because Tom played the bratty Drako Malfoy role in Harry Potter. Anyways, I gave the movie an A grade. I thought it was really good and entertaining. The whole movie had a very intriguing vibe to it. Follow us on Facebook by Clicking Here. Follow us on Twitter by Clicking Here.
