New Conan The Barbarian remake movie delivered great action, suspense & more

Lionsgate released their new action/fantasy flick “Conan The Barbarian” remake movie into theaters this weekend. I just watched it,and thought it rocked with tons of action, coupled with a nice, suspenseful ending, and more. The movie stars: Jason Momoa, Rachel Nichols, Stephen Lang, Rose McGowan, Saïd Taghmaoui, Ron Perlman, Leo Howard, Steve O’Donnell, Raad Rawi Fassir, Nonso Anozie, Bob Sapp, and Milton Welsh.

In the flick, character Conan (Jason Momoa) gets trained early on as a young boy on how to wield a sword correctly by his father. Unfortunately, his father, along with the other Cimmerians get completely slaughtered by the hands of an evil dictator named Khalar Zym and his evil witch, sorceress, daughter Marique (Rose McGowan). He actually made Conan watch his father die, which really pissed him off.

The movie fast-forwards a couple of years to a grown-up Conan who’s filled with vengeance in his heart to find the man who killed his father and slaughtered his village. However, when Conan finally finds Khalar, he learns that it’s not going to be an easy task to defeat him.

Khalar’s daughter has grown more powerful with the sorcery, and Khalar is own a mission to raise his dead sorceress wife, which will,in turn, make him a god. Conan eventually falls for the girl Tamara who has the true blood that can raise Khalar’s wife. So,with three strong reasons in mind,Conan draws the movie to a conclusion that includes a huge, suspenseful battle scene to stop Khalar’s mission, protect Tamara, and get revenge for his father’s death.

Conan was fun to watch as it contained a lot of good action scenes, sword fighting, magic, monsters, suspense, and more. It delivered all the ingredients necessary to keep me highly interested in the plot the entire time.

Also, I think Rose McGowan did an excellent job playing the sorceress daughter Marique. Heck, she was barely recognizable, and got in really great shape for the role. I thought Jason Momoa offered a very intense, convincing version of Conan. I gave the movie an A grade. Follow us on Facebook by Clicking Here. Follow us on Twitter by Clicking Here.
