New Diary of a Wimpy Kid 3,Dog Days movie delivered great comedy, drama & more. 20th Century Fox released their new family/comedy flick “Diary of a Wimpy Kid 3: Dog Days” into theaters this weekend. I just checked it, and thought it was pretty funny and entertaining as character Greg Heffley continues his comical journey through young life. The movie stars: Zachary Gordon, Robert Capron, Rachael Harris, Devon Bostick, and Steve Zahn.

In the new movie, school is about to be out and it’s summer time. Little Greg has a master plan to get a girl named Holly Hills to sign his year book, along with giving him her number so they can hang out during the summer. However, just when he’s about to score her number, she’s rudely interrupted by all the other classmates and gets rushed out of the building.

From there, Greg is forced to spend the summer playing video games and putting up with his nagging parents. Also, he has to deal with the crazy antics of his older brother Rodrick. Greg’s best friend Rowley Jefferson ends up making his summer a little brighter with a trip to the Country Club, where he discovers that Holly teaches tennis there.

Greg wastes no time in running up to Holly in hopes of spending time with her. After that, Greg lies to his father Hank about working at the Country Club so he can continue to hang out with Holly. Unfortunately, Greg’s lie eventually blows up in his face when he runs up a high Country Club bill, and Frank has to pay it.

The mistake nearly lands Greg in a strict boarding school for boys, but Frank decides to help Greg learn about owning up to his mistake and learning from them instead. Again, the movie was fun to watch as it served up a lot of good comical scenes like Greg losing his shorts in the pool and having to wait 5 hours to sneak out, Rodrick singing a messed up version of Justin Bieber’s “Baby” song at a party to impress a girl, and much more. It was a total riot.

I gave the movie a solid B grade for great comedy. Follow us on Facebook by Clicking Here. Follow us on Twitter by Clicking Here.
