New ‘End Of Watch’ Movie Delivered Lots Of Violent Action,Drama,Comedy & More
New ‘End Of Watch’ movie delivered lots of violent action, drama, comedy & more. Open Road Films released their new crime/drama flick “End Of Watch” into theaters this weekend. I just watched it,and I thought it was a very entertaining movie as it served up lots of violent action, drama, and even a little comedy. It stars: Jake Gyllenhaal, Michael Pena, Anna Kendrick, Frank Gillo, and America Ferrera.
The new flick revolved around young Los Angeles police officers Brian Taylor (Jake Gyllenhaal) and Mike Zavala (Michael Pena) as they patrolled the meanest streets of South Central Los Angeles. It showed the two cops roaming the city’s most dangerous corners, and other cops who risk their lives there every day, and the price they and their families are forced to pay.
The film paced through sort of like a reality episode of “Cops.” However, there were other regular movie scenes involved. At one point, Brian and Mike busted in on a party that a very vicious Latino gang were throwing. Another scene featured Mike getting in a fist fight with an African American gang member over a challenge. It was pretty wild.
It showed a lot of comical moments between Brian and Mike as they joked a lot while on patrol. It featured Brian and Mikes family situations and how close they were as friends. Then it finally led up to a very sad conclusion when that Latino gang tried to get revenge on Brian and Mike. It involved a lot of hardcore shooting, chasing, and people dying. It was quite intense to say the least.
Again, I enjoyed watching the movie. It was very different in the way that it was setup as it didn’t really have a plotline, per say. It just showed them patrolling and stuff, but it worked for me. I gave it a solid B grade. Follow us on Facebook by Clicking Here. Follow us on Twitter by Clicking Here.
