New NCIS Season 15’s Next, New Episode 20 Is Getting Delayed. New Airdate Revealed
Hey, “NCIS.” Unfortunately, it’s that time again where we must let you guys know that you’re going to have to wait a little while longer before you’re able to view the next, new episode 20. For some reason, it will not be airing next Tuesday, April 10, 2018. Instead, CBS will air it on Tuesday,April 17, 2018 in it’s usual 7 pm central time slot. So, be sure to mark that very important date down on your TV calendars.
So, what will CBS be airing on April 10, 2018 instead of your favorite show? Well, according to the TV Guide listings, they are going to air a rerun of NCIS’s 15th episode of this current season 15. It’s entitled,”Keep Your Enemies Closer.”
The official CBS description for this episode reads like this, “NCIS strikes a deal with convicted murderer Paul Triff, giving him a 48-hour furlough at his former residence, now McGee’s home, in exchange for information that can convict his former cellmate, Gabriel Hicks, the murderer who deceived Gibbs and Fornell (Joe Spano).”
It originally aired way back on February 27, 2018. For those of you who might have missed this particular episode, next Tuesday night might be a great time for you to catch it. For those of you who did see it and don’t want to watch it again, you’ll definitely want to make some other plans for that night.
CBS will also be airing a big Elton John special in that 8 pm central time slot on that same night after the NCIS rerun. The special is titled,”Elton John: I’m Still Standing – A Grammy Salute.” CBS’ description of it reads like this, ” A celebration of Elton John’s illustrious career and songs, featuring performances by Alessia Cara, Miley Cyrus, Lady Gaga, Miranda Lambert, John Legend, Kesha, Little Big Town, Chris Martin, Shawn Mendes, Maren Morris, Ed Sheeran, Sam Smith and SZA.”
If any of you guys are an Elton John fan or a fan of any of these artists listed in the description, you might want to tune in and check that out. It’s a two hour special that’s set to air from 8 pm to 10 pm central standard time.
Additionally, CBS did put out an official press release for the next, new episode 20. The press release reveals that this episode is labeled/entitled, “Sight Unseen.” They also included a brief teaser description for it.
It reads like this, “NCIS searches for a petty officer suspected of assault who escapes when the sheriff transporting him crashes into a lake. Also, Torres works closely with Annie Barth (Marilee Talkington) who is a key blind witness who heard vital evidence needed to solve the case.” CBS also pointed out that this is the 350th episode for the show which is some sort of milestone achievement.
Episode 20 will feature a guest star who is Marilee Talkington as character Annie Barth. The season regular castmemembers that will be in this episode are: Mark Harmon as character (NCIS Special Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs),Sean Murray as character (NCIS Special Agent Timothy McGee), Emily Wickersham as character (NCIS Special Agent Eleanor “Ellie” Bishop), Pauley Perrette as character(Forensic Specialist Abby Scuito).
Wilmer Valderrama as character (NCIS Special Agent Nicholas “Nick” Torres), Maria Bello as character (Special Agent Jacqueline “Jack” Sloane), Brian Dietzen as character (Dr. Jimmy Palmer), Duane Henry as character (MI6 Officer Clayton Reeves),Rocky Carroll as character (NCIS Director Leon Vance) and David McCallum as character (Dr. Donald “Ducky” Mallard).
Episode 20 was written by Brendan Fehily, and Bethany Rooney was brought on to direct it. We also need to make a correction. In one of our previous articles, we mentioned that the current season 15 only had 20 episode. We have since learned that it actually does have a 24 episode order. So, you guys can look forward to seeing five more episodes before this season wraps up.
Also as previously reported, the latest ratings for NCIS look damn solid. So, we fully expect to see it get renewed for a brand new 16th season with no problems at all. CBS has yet to officially announce a renewal. But again, we feel like that’s just a matter of time. We will definitely do an official post for you guys when CBS does make the announcement. So, be on the lookout for that.
One other thing we need to tell you guys is to expect one more delay in a couple of weeks. We’ll do another post on it. But yeah. The show is due for another episode delay before the final home stretch of this season. You guys can expect to see the last four episodes to air back to back with no interruptions.
