New American Horror Story Season 9 Already Bringing Back Emma Roberts. Plus, Other Important Details Revealed
Hey, American Horror Story fans. A lot of new, very important stuff has already come out about the upcoming season 9 according to the folks over at The Hollywood Reporter. A couple of major castmembers have already been confirmed to return and so on and so forth. Oh heck. Let’s just get into this.
The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that actress Emma Roberts was the first castmember to be confirmed for episode 9. The producer Ryan Murphy also revealed on his official Instagram account that Emma’s boyfriend for season 9 is going to be played by Olympic freestyle skier and silver medalist Gus Kenworthy. They believe it’s highly likely that main stars like Sarah Paulson and Evan Peters will return. They pointed out that both of them have actually appeared in every freaking season so far. So yeah, I think that is a very good assumption that they’ll be back for season 9. However, their return hasn’t been officially announced yet.
Sarah actually had some very positive and encouraging things to say about her future status for American Horror Story. Apparently, she wants to do the show until she’s 95, and they would have to drag her out, kicking and screaming to get rid of her! She stated,”I want to be doing this show until I’m 95. They’re going to have to drag me out of there kicking and screaming. That being said, I have no idea what Ryan’s plans are for me.
It’s tantamount to me walking in and saying, ‘Do you want me to go left or right?’ and then whatever he says, I will just go there. So, I don’t know what his plans are for me as it pertains to Horror Story, but there will be crawl marks on the walls from them trying to drag me out if they ever ask me to go.”
The Hollywood Reporter went over what they know so far about the possible plotline for season 9. They mentioned that the witches would return again, but not in season 9. So, we won’t be seeing any witches in season 9. Ryan Murphy did say they have something very fun planned for season 9. So, that was vague as hell. The only thing we know from that is we should expect it to be fun.
As most of you are aware by now, not only is American Horror Story renewed for a brand new season 9, it’s also renewed for a new season 10. Both seasons got renewed together back in the summer of 2018. What we found very interesting is that the FX CEO John Landgraf was asked about the future of American Horror Story beyond season 10, and he had this to say, “It’s up to how long Ryan wants to keep going and how many years he has inspired ideas.”
So, in other words, American Horror Story could possibly keep going on for ever and ever. We think that’s certainly very good news.
Another important piece of information that recently came out for the new 9th season is that they are scheduled to start filming it in June 2019. That means some possible spoiler leaks could come out around that time.
One other thing. The folks over at Comicbook.com reported that Ryan Murphy hinted actors Cody Fern, Finn Wittrock, and Darren Criss could possibly make appearances on the show. We don’t know how important that is, but we just thought we’d mention it just in case it is. I personally want to see more of Taissa Farmiga. There’s just something about her.
Anyways, that’s all we’ve got for this latest American Horror Story report, but definitely stay tuned for more.
