Hey, “America’s Got Talent” fans. Tonight, June 4, 2019, episode 2 of the current 14th season did indeed air. It featured more auditions. Of course, the judges: Julianne Hough, Gabrielle Union, Simon Cowell and Howie Mandel were all on hand to critique the talent.
Tonight’s episode kicked off with a guy named Jonathan Burns. He’s a comedic contortionist. His act consisted of him doing a bit with 80s music and a toilet seat. At one point, he pushed himself through a tennis racquet.
After his routine, Gabrielle said, “We all want to see more!” Julianne said, “That was like Napoleon Dynamite.” Howie said, “You’re memorable.” Simon said,”Talent is about people having a great time.” He got 4 yeses from the judges. So, he’ll be moving on to the next round.
Next up, was a guy named Benicio Bryant. He is a singer. He was actually a runner-up on The Voice Kids over in Germany in 2018. He ended up singing a song called, “The Joke.”
Afterwards, Julianne told Benicio, “You’re the entire package.” Gabrielle said, “You’re incredibly talented.” Howie said, “You’re amazing.” Simon said, “You put it together. You’re a real find.” Simon also said Benicio reminded him of Harry Styles from One Direction and UK’s X Factor talent show.
After all of that, a high kick drill team from Texas called, “Emerald Belles” arrived on stage. They said their group members are between the ages of 14 to 18 years old. This group had so many people in their group that if they split the $1 million dollar grand prize between all of them, they might get $100 each. It was a lot of freaking people.
Aside from that, they wowed the crowd. Afterwards, Gabrielle told them, “You brought it.” Julianne really appreciated their cohesiveness. Howie compared them to the Rockettes, but he said they weren’t as good. So, the crowd booed him.
Simon said. “you would be a good replacement for the Rockettes.” They got yeses from Simon, Julianne and Gabrielle. Howie gave them a no. So, they got enough yeses to move on to the next round.
Next, an act that goes by the name, “Messoudi Brothers” hit the stage. They are a three brother act. Their routine consisted of them doing extreme balancing acts on top of each other and so on and so forth. They were definitely good. They did some awesome stuff.
After their routine, Gabrielle told them, “You delivered the WOW.” Simon said, “You tick every single box.” Julianne talked about how special it is to work with a sibling. Howie said, “You did an amazing job.” They got 4 yeses from the judges.
Karamjit and Krawijit Singh arrived on stage next to perform an extreme danger act that could’ve resulted in death if done wrong! Their routine featured one guy blindfolded and holding a sledge hammer. The other guy was lying on the ground with fruit placed around his entire body, including his head!
Somehow, someway the blindfolded guy with the sledge hammer was able to crush all the fruit without hitting the guy lying on the ground, and things got real scary when he was around the guy’s head area. It was crazy!
Also, they applied a layer of salt between the blindfolded guys eyes and the blindfold to make sure he couldn’t see anything. Again, it was crazy amazing. Afterwards, Howie said, “It was crazy and dangerous.” Gabrielle said, “I thought there was going to be death.” Julianne said, “It was delicious looking!” Simon said, “It was unbelievable.” They got 4 yeses from the judges.
Next, a young girl group called, “G-Force” hit the stage to perform an original song about “going to the top together and not letting anyone push you down.” The girls said they were ages 10 to 12 years old. They were very adorable, and the crowd loved them. Their routine featured a combination of rapping, singing and dancing.
After their routine, Julianne told them, “I love your female empowerment.” Gabrielle said, “You’re rock stars.” Howie joked, “You made me feel like a little girl again.” The girls got 4 yeses from the judges.
Next, we were introduced to a 63 year old female singer named Adaline Bates. She ended up performing a rendition of “Unforgettable.” However, she dressed up to do both the male and female parts.
So, she was dressed up in a half woman and half man outfit. The crowd and the judges loved it. Afterwards, Simon told Adaline, “I love being surprised.” Julianne said,”You’re rad.” Gabrielle said, “I love it.” Howie gave her compliments about her vocal range. Adaline got 4 yeses from the judges.
Ryan Niemiller arrived on stage next. He is a stand up comedian with a disability. He was born with deformed arms. After his comic routine, Simon thought he was really good and asked him why he hasn’t gotten a break yet.
Ryan told him his arm deformities freaked out the bookers at clubs. Simon said, “They’re the ones with the disability. Not you.” Howie said, “You’re brilliant, funny, and a star. I believe you should be in the finals.” Gabrielle joked,”I want to know your tour dates.” Julianne said, “You’re the real deal.” Ryan got 4 yeses from the judges.
Next up, was another kid group called, “Light Balance Kids.” They are LED Dancers. They danced with the lights off while wearing special outfits that glowed in the dark. Their routine was pretty fun to watch. After it was done, Gabrielle told them, “It was perfect.” Julianne said, “I’m impressed with your technicality.” Simon said, “I can’t believe the entire group are children.” They got 4 yeses from the judges.
After that, a guy named Nicholas Wallace hit the stage. He is a magician of sorts. He had Gabrielle assist him during his routine. He had Gabrielle sit in a chair while blindfolded. Then he started touching a doll. Everytime he touched the doll, he asked Gabrielle to raise her arm if she felt it, and she did! It was the freakiest thing.
Afterwards, Julianne said, “I have no idea how that happened.” Simon said, “You’re creepy and weird. That’s the best compliment I can give you.” Gabrielle not actually seeing what happened said, “I got touched a bunch.” Nicholas received 3 yeses from the judges. Gabrielle didn’t vote because she didn’t see anything. Julianne did explain to her what happened though.
Lastly, we saw a singer/songwriter named Joseph Allen hit the stage. He is 21 years old from Texas. His act consisted of him singing and rapping. It was pretty good. The crowd and the judges loved it.
Afterwards, Julianne said, “There is a generation of Millenials putting good out into the world.” Simon said, “You’re energy is amazing.” Howie said, “Your smile is electric.” Then Howie decided to hit the golden buzzer for Joseph! That means he will go straight to the live shows. You guys can view all of tonight’s episode 2 auditions on America’s Got Talent’s Youtube page by Clicking Here.
