The Voice October 22, 2019 Battles Part 4 Eliminated Cory, Dane And Stephanie (Recap)
Hey, “The Voice” fans. Tonight, October 22, 2019, another Battles show did indeed air with music star coaches: Blake Shelton, Kelly Clarkson, John Legend and Gwen Stefani.
Tonight’s show kicked off with contestant Cory Jackson going up against Zach Bridges for Team Blake. They sang to the song, “Should’ve Been a Cowboy” by artist Toby Keith.
Afterwards, Kelly said,”I wish there was a duo button.” John said, “You are both stars. In this moment, I would pick Zach.” Gwen said, “Cory kept stealing the show for me.” Blake ended up picking Zach over Cory. So, poor Cory was eliminated.
Next up, was Dane & Stephanie versus Marybeth Byrd for Team John Legend. They battled to the song, “Burning House” by Cam.
Afterwards, Gwen said, “The duo is magical, but I love Marybeth’s style of singing. I’m not going to pick.” Kelly told Dane, “I will buy every record you release.” However, she preferred the Dane & Stephanie duo.
Blake said, “I’m blown away by the duo’s growth, but I predict Marybeth will be in the finale!” John ended up picking Marybeth, which means poor Dane & Stephanie were eliminated.
Kelly would’ve stolen Dane and Stephanie if she had another steal to give. So, that was a bummer for them.
Jessie Lawrence and Rose Short for Team Gwen hit the stage next to battle to the song, “Can’t Feel My Face” by artist the Weeknd. Afterwards, Kelly said, “It was sexy and cool.” Blake said, “I won’t pick anyone.”
John said, “Rose is a superstar soprano singer.” Rose started crying after that. Gwen ended up picking Rose and saving Jessie. Then Blake turned around and stole Jessie for the fun of it. However, Jessie chose to stay with Gwen. And that wrapped up tonight’s short, one-hour show. 45 minutes if you count commercials.
So, the unfortunate singers who were eliminated in tonight’s October 22, 2019 episode are: Cory Jackson and Dane & Stephanie.
