‘Black Lightning’ Season 3, December 16, 2019 Episode 10 Delayed. Not Airing Tonight
Hey, “Black Lightning” fans. Unfortunately, we have some bad news to discuss with you in this article. It turns out that Black Lightning is currently on a little break right now.
The last episode 9, Earth Crisis crossover was indeed the Fall finale episode. That means The CW will not be airing the next, new episode 10 tonight, December 16, 2019.
Fortunately, we were able to track down the premiere date for the next,new episode 10. It is currently scheduled to air on Monday night, January 20,2020 in the 8 pm central standard time slot on The CW of course. So,be sure to commit that very important date to memory or get it wrote down on something.
So, what will The CW be airing instead of “Black Lightning” tonight? According to the TV Guide listings, The CW is airing a Christmas countdown special called, “GREATEST HOLIDAY COMMERCIALS COUNTDOWN 2019.”
The CW’s official description for it reads like this, “A countdown of some holiday commercials, one for each of the 12 days of Christmas.”
Then next Monday night, December 23,2019, The CW is airing, “THE CHRISTMAS CAROLER CHALLENGE.”It’s the 6th episode of its first season. The episode is titled, “The Finals” as they have reached the finals of the competition rounds.
The CW’s official description for it reads like this,”And the winner is. This Christmas caroling competition series features extraordinary carol groups, each with their own stylized brand of performance, in celebrating the great Christmas music we have all come to love.
We’ll meet these groups from the most elaborate ultra-traditional virtuoso performances to those with the most unexpected twists on the classic Christmas carol.”
On Monday,January 7, 2020, The CW will be airing a repeat episode of Black Lightning. It’s currently unknown which repeat they will air.
Other than those three dates, it’s a mystery what The CW will air in place of Black Lightning. If any of those shows sound enticing, you might still want to watch The CW during the break. If not, you will certainly want to find something else to watch or do for the next month and a half.
Normally, we would have a episode 10 press release to read off to you guys, but The CW hasn’t released one yet. They also haven’t released a new preview clip for episode 10, which is pretty shocking for them.
What we were able to track down was a title for episodes 10, 11, 12, 13 and 14. Episode 10 is officially called, “The Book of Markovia: Chapter One: Blessings and Curses Reborn.”
Episode 11 is labeled, “The Book of Markovia: Chapter Two.” It’s scheduled to air on Monday night, January 27, 2020.
Episode 12 is entitled,”The Book of Markovia: Chapter Three.” It’s due to air on Monday night,February 3, 2020.
Episode 13 is titled, “The Book of Markovia: Chapter Four.” It is scheduled to arrive on Monday night, February 10, 2020.
Episode 14 is called, “The Book of War: Chapter One.” It is scheduled to air on Monday night,February 24, 2020. So, it looks like there will be another brief break in there after the February 10, 2020 airing.
The last thing we’re going to hit you with in this article is the current ratings and LIVE viewership numbers for Black Lightning’s current 3rd season.
It’s currently averaging around 679,000 LIVE viewers per episode and a 0.23 ratings score for the 18-49 year old demographics. The last episode 9 brought in 896,000 LIVE viewers and a 0.28 ratings score.
Those numbers seem ok for a CW show. The CW has not yet renewed Black Lightning for a new season 4, but it’s still quite early. So, we will certainly just wait and see what The CW decides to do in a few months.
Again, The CW confirmed that the new episode 10 of this current season 3 is scheduled to air on Monday night, January 20, 2020 at approximately 8 pm central standard time.
