‘Bachelor: Listen To Your Heart’ May 4, 2020 Eliminated Brandon & Julia (Recap)

Hey, “Bachelor Nation” fans. Tonight, May 4, 2020, another episode of ABC’s new “Bachelor: Listen To Your Heart” reality dating/singing show did indeed air, and another couple got their walking papers when it was all said and done.

Tonight’s episode kicked off with Brandon giving Savannah more reassurance that their relationship is solid. Savannah was obviously very happy to hear that.

Sheridan was seen talking to Julia again. He told the private cams he felt confident in what they have.

Next, host Chris Harrison told the couples they’re going on dates, but they’re going to pair them up with different people to test their relationships. Uh oh.

Jamie was sent on a date with Ryan. Chris was sent on a date with Rudi. Julia was sent on a date with Brandon.

Chris Harrison told them, “I want to see really strong and committed couples only.” Ooh, ok. Savannah told the private cams, “I’m a little nervous about Brandon, but I’m just going to hope he respects me.”

Julia told Sheridan, “I don’t imagine this will change anything.” Sheridan said, “Yeah, but Brandon’s a fun guy.” Sheridan told the private cams, “The girl doesn’t usually go for the nice guys.”

Rudi said she really wanted to spend more time with Matt. She was jealous of Matt’s connection with some other other ladies,particularly Natascha.

Chris took Rudi out on their 1 on 1 date. They mostly talked about their individual relationships. At one point, Chris told Rudi, “I’m totally falling for Bri. I’m done chasing after a million other people.”

Jamie and Ryan got along well. Ryan told Jamie that he and Natascha are doing well together. Jamie told Ryan, “I just really want you to be happy.” Ryan told Jamie, “I really enjoy you as a person.” Then they hugged. Jamie told the private cams, “It’s over for me and Ryan romantically, but not as friends.”

Julia and Brandon were seen rehearsing together. Sheridan wrote another song about wanting Julia. Julia told the private cams. “It would be wrong and a disservice if me and Brandon didn’t pursue something if it’s there.”

Julia and Brandon performed together and kissed afterwards. Julia told the private cams, “I want to end up with Brandon. We have a lot of chemistry together.”

When Julia got back, she told Sheridan, “I don’t think I can do this with you.” Sheridan said, “Ok, I wish you the best with Brandon,” and started to walk off. Julia said to Sheridan, “You’re just going to walk away after that?”

Sheridan said, “What do you expect me to do right now? You just told me you can’t do this with me.” Julia said, “I do still care about you.” After that, Sheridan told Julia goodbye and left after telling everyone else goodbye and giving them a hug.

I was actually so happy for Sheridan in this moment because he finally stopped putting up with Julia’s BS. Good for him.

Next, Brandon went to talk to Savannah about he and Julia’s date. He told Savannah, “I tried really hard to be present with her, and I feel like I did that. She still has feelings, and I still have feelings for her. I feel like you’re about 95 percent in this with me.”

Savannah was definitely not happy to hear that. She said, “How do you expect me to feel right now?” Brandon said, “How do you want to feel?” I feel like I want to be chosen, and I don’t feel like that right now!”

After that, Savannah ran off. Brandon chased after her and said, “What do I need to do to fix this right now? I’m willing to make the decision ,right now, to work this out.” Savannah said, “I do not trust you. I don’t want to be a second choice. I don’t want to do this. I don’t want to keep questioning this!”

Next, Savannah was seen saying, “It’s time for me to go.” In her exit ride, Savannah told the private cams, “I didn’t think it was going to go like that.”

Of course, Brandon ran back to Julia and told her “I want to move forward with you.” She agreed. Julia told the private cams, “I finally feel like I’m with who I’m supposed to be with.”

Chris Harrison told the couples they will be performing at “The Novo” in downtown Los Angeles. After that, the couples were seen rehearsing.

Natascha definitely wasn’t sure about Brandon and Julia’s connection. Right before their performances, Natascha told Julia, “I asked Brandon if he would’ve chosen Savannah if she decided to stay, and he definitively said yes.”

Julia got very upset about that. She accused Natascha of trying to sabotage her and Brandon’s performance. Then she ran off to confront Brandon about what Natascha said.

Brandon told Julia of Savannah, “I wanted to see her position on it, and we never got there. It was not definitive. I’m happy to be here with you.” Julia seem to buy it at the time. So, they hugged it out.

Finally, they showed the performances. The special guest judges were: former Bachelorette headliner Rachel Lindsay and her husband Bryan, singer/song writer Andy Grammer and singer Toni Braxton.

Rudi and Matt performed first. Afterwards, Rachel said, “We were definitely feeling it. Your chemistry was great. You guys were having so much fun with each other and that’s how it should be.” Andy said, “It was great. Hell yeah!” Toni said, “It was fantastic. I’m excited to see you guys.”

Jamie and Trevor performed next. Afterwards, Andy said, “The first half was a lot of nerves, but the second half was good. Keep rockin.”

Rachel said, “Trevor, I wish you would have matched her passion.” Toni said, “Jamie, you don’t need to be so shy. You’re a beautiful woman. I need you to show more confidence.” Jamie was very upset with her performance and cried in Trevor’s arms afterwards.

Chris and Bri performed. Afterwards, Toni said, “That’s what I’m talking about. I was feeling it. It was wonderful, splendid.” Rachel said, “That’s how you sing and show you’re in love at the same time.” Andy said, “Your falsetto is really special. You guys are fantastic.” Afterwards, Bri and Chris said they love each other. So, they’re definitely the real deal.

Julia and Brandon sang, “We Belong.” Afterwards, Rachel said, “I could feel that you’re a new couple in the performance. It felt more like karaoke.” Andy said, “It was ok.” Toni said, “I felt there was some tension.”

After that,Julia was seen telling Brandon ,backstage, “I felt like you abandon me a little bit out there.” Brandon said, “I’m sorry.” Julia told the private cams, “I feel like I made the wrong decision. My performance with Sheridan was so much better, and the judges really liked it.” So, she started crying again.

Natascha and Ryan performed “You’re The Best Thing.” Afterwards, Toni said, “You have beautiful voices, super talented.” Andy said, “Natascha, your voice is unbelievable. I was super impressed.” Rachel said, “It was fun. It was flirty. It was sexy.”

Julie expressed that she was so mad at Natascha for telling her what Brandon said. “There’s no way I’m not going home tonight,” she said.”

Julia confronted Natasha about it. Natasha said, “I’m sorry, but I really didn’t mean it to be vindictive.” Julia said, “I think it was a dirty move.” Natasha said, “How you feel is how you feel.”

Next, the rose ceremony began. Bri and Chris, Rudi and Matt, Natascha and Ryan and Jamie and Trevor all got roses.

So, surely enough, that left Brandon and Julia roseless and going home. Brandon told Julia “I’m sorry if I let you down in any way.” Julia said, “It’s ok.”

Julia told the private cams, “I just don’t deserve the way I’ve been treated. I wish I could have gone back and chosen Sheridan. Brandon treated our performance like it was a solo performance.”
