The Bachelorette December 8, 2020 Eliminated Ed, Demar , Spencer & Bennett (Recap)

Hey, Bachelor Nation fans. Tonight, December 8, 2020, another new episode of The Bachelorette 2020 edition with Tayshia Adams did indeed air, and some unlucky guys did get the boot before it was all said and done.

Tonight’s episode kicked off with the continuation of the Bennett and Noah, 2 on 1 date debacle. The rest of the guys were seen talking about how glad they are Tayshia is taking care of this Bennett and Noah situation.

Tayshia talked 1 on 1 with Bennett. She asked him, “Have you ever questioned my integrity?” Bennett said, “I don’t think I’ve ever done that.” Tayshia said, “You don’t have the right to tell someone there’s a zero percent chance that I would ever end up with them. That’s essentially questioning my integrity.”

Bennett said, “I’m sorry for that. I’ve witnessed deficiencies in Noah. All I want to do is love you up. I’m here for you.”

Next, we saw Tayshia talk 1 on 1 with Noah. She told him, “It really sucks because ,now, I’m confused. There’s been drama in this house, and you’ve been the common denominator in all of it.”

Noah said, “I’m really sorry that I’ve caused drama. Bennett talked to me in a very condescending way, and I think he would eventually do that to you. I don’t think that’s right.”

Tayshia said, “I’m gonna have to think about everything and go from there.” Then they hugged. Noah told the private cams, “I do want what’s best for Tayshia, and if I went home tonight, I would be heartbroken.”

Next, they showed more footage of Bennett and Noah arguing some more until they finally agreed to just let Tayshia decide. Bennett said, “May the best man win.”

Tayshia finally came back and told Bennett, “You made me feel great this entire time, but it worries me that you’re condescending and questioning my integrity.” She said to Noah, “You make me feel very special, but I’m worried that you’re not ready for marriage.”

After all of that, Tayshia turned to Bennett and told him, “Unfortunately, I can’t give you this rose. Can I walk you out,please?” Bennett said, “Is this really goodbye?” Tayshia said, “Unfortunately.”

Bennett said, “I’m shocked. I just saw things in Noah that I thought you should never put up with in a husband. I’m really sorry. I didn’t know you felt this way. I hope you find what you’re looking for. There’s a lot of great guys out there.” Bennett told the private cams, “That’s a curve ball. I didn’t see that coming.”

Tayshia went back and told Noah, “That wasn’t a victory for you by any means. I really did have feelings for Bennett, and I didn’t want to have to talk to both of you about this. I’m also not going to give you this rose right now. I have a lot of thinking to do. I will see you later.”

Noah told the private cams, “Tonight, has been exhausting. Hopefully, I’ll get another chance to convince Tayshia I’m ready for marriage.”

Noah went back and told the rest of the guys what happened. Tayshia came and told the guys, “Bennett is gone, and I just want to have a good night with you guys.” From there, the cocktail party commenced.

Tayshia talked 1 on 1 with a few of the guys. Riley told Tayshia, “I love how you handled business,” and he gave her a dessert treat.

Tayshia and Zac C kissed at one point. Tayshia also kissed Ben during their 1 on 1 talk. Tayshia and Brendan were seen kissing too. Noah got no time with Tayshia at the cocktail party. So, he felt bad about his chances of getting a rose heading into the rose ceremony.

Finally, Tayshia handed out the roses. Brendan, Riley, Blake, Ivan and Noah all got roses. That left poor Ed, Demar and Spencer empty handed. So, they were eliminated.

Next, former Bachelorette JoJo Fletcher was back in action as the interim host while Chris Harrison is away. She told the guys that Tayshia is feeling very good despite what happened last night with the whole Bennett and Noah debacle. She also told them that the Hometowns week is coming up next, and she explained how important it is.

After JoJo left, it was reveled that Ben got a 1 on 1 date card with Tayshia. During their 1 on 1 date, they greeted each other with a hug and kiss. JoJo showed up to tell them she set up an oasis with clues for them.

They rode on motor scooters to a tennis court. Then they searched for lots of different clues all over the place where they were at. They appeared to have a great time. Then they talked a little bit. Tayshia told the private cams of Ben, “I don’t think I could give him a rose at this time. I need him to open up more so I can see who he really is.”

During the second half of their 1 on 1 date, Tayshia told Ben, “I know you’re holding back. I feel like you’ve been hurt in the past.”

Tayshia called it right because Ben told her, “When I was growing up, I think I was left wanting emotionally.” He went on to reveal some very dark times in his life. He explained that he didn’t know how to say that he needed things.

He was really close to his sister. He had two failed suicide attempts! He said, “I didn’t want to burden anyone with my problems. Luckily, the attempts didn’t work. My sister saved me without even knowing it.”

Tayshia told Ben, “I see you, and I hear you. This is all I’ve ever wanted. You’re an amazing person. I now it was really hard for you to open up. Will you except this rose?” He did and they kissed.

Tayshia told the private cams of Ben, “This was a huge step in our relationship. It means that he trusts me.”

Also, country music star Adam Hambrick was seen giving Tayshia and Ben a private concert while they danced and kissed.

After all of that, Tayshia took: Zac, Brendan, Ivan, Noah and Riley on a group date. During it, JoJo joined Tayshia in giving the guys a lie detector test. Even Tayshia took it at one point to demonstrate how it would work.

The test said Brendan lied when he was asked if he’s ready to meat Tayshia’s family, and if he’s ready for her to meet his family.

Zac admitted to cheating on someone in the past. That bothered Tayshia. During the second half of this group date, Tayshia wanted to get answers from Zac about his cheating right away. So, she talked 1 on 1 with him first.

She told Zac,”Cheating is something I won’t tolerate. It’s a deal breaker for me.” Zac explained what happened. He told her it happened when he was in the 6th grade. He kissed another girl when he was dating a girl way back then. That caused Tayshia to laugh. Then they kissed.

Tayshia told Noah his lie detector test made her feel better about him. Tayshia and Ivan kissed at one point.

Tayshia talked to Brendan about him failing the test in regards to the meeting family questions. He told Tayshia that he definitely does want her to meet his family. “I can really picture a future with us. That’s the truth,” he said. Tayshia seemed to buy it.

Riley kept telling the private cams about some major things his family has been through. “Maybe it’s time to let it all out,” he said.

Riley told Tayshia that things are rocky with his family. He explained that he actually had his name legally changed in the past, which is why he failed the lie detector test when they asked him what his name is.

Apparently, he was originally named after his father, but he had some sort of huge falling out with him that was so bad that he didn’t even want his name to be associated with his! He told Tayshia ,”I wanted to start my life over from scratch. So, I legally changed my name.” Tayshia told him, “You’ve done nothing wrong, and there’s nothing to be ashamed about.” Then they hugged and kissed.

Next, Tayshia told all the guys at the group date, “I feel like all the conversations were amazing. I don’t think any of them were better than the other. I need a little bit more time to decide who to give the group date rose to. I will wait until the rose ceremony.”

After that, they showed footage of Bennett coming back! He ended up telling Tayshia, “I spent the day going over and over in my head. I’m so sorry for making you think I question your integrity.

Our goodbye was so bizarre. I couldn’t fathom what happened. I realized in that moment that I love you.”

Tayshia said, “I’m not going to lie. I’m speechless right now.” Bennett said, “If there’s an ounce of you that still wants to explore this, I would love to stay. You don’t even have to do anything. You can do what you want. I just wanted to see you again and share this with you. I’m dead serious about you. I’ve never had emotions like this for a woman ever.”

Tayshia said, “I need more time. I will let you know tomorrow.” Bennett said, “That’s fine. Thank you.” Tayshia told the private cams, “Bennett saying I love you meant a lot. I know he was not just saying things just to say them. I’m so confused. I don’t know what to do. It didn’t feel right sending him home the other night.”

And that was the show ladies and gentlemen. We were shown the “To be continued” sign. So, we’ll see what happens next week. They did show a promo clip of Bennett actually returning. So, it does look like Tayshia is going to give Bennett another shot.

The next, new episode of The Bachelorette 2020 edition with Tayshia Adams will actually land on Monday night, December 14,2020 and Tuesday night, December 15, 2020. That’s right, guys. We’re getting back-to-back episodes next week in the 7 pm central standard time slot for both nights on ABC.
