The Bachelor January 11, 2021 Eliminated No One (Recap)

Hey,Bachelor Nation fans. Tonight, January 11, 2021, another new episode of The Bachelor 2021 edition with headliner Matt James did indeed air. Tonight’s episode kicked off with host Chris Harrison greeting all the remaining ladies and delivering a date card to them. It revealed that Bri got a 1 on 1 date with Matt.

During their date, Matt took her out riding on 4-wheeler ATVs. Meanwhile, this crazy girl Victoria started annoying all the other girls by acting quite rude. She was on that kick of “I’m not here to make friends. I’m only here for Matt.”

Matt and Bri ended up wrecking and flying off the 4 wheeler ATVs at one point, but they were ok. After all of that drama, Matt took off his shirt and chopped wood for Bri. Bri told the private cams, “Matt looks good with his shirt off.” After the chopping wood show, they talked over drinks and ended up kissing. Bri told the private cams, “It feels good being around Matt.”

During the second half of Matt and Bri’s 1 on 1 date, Bri talked about her family with Matt and vice versa. She told him she wants a big family saying, “That’s where I’m at in my life.” Matt toasted to that with her. Then he gave Bri a rose, and they kissed. They definitely appeared to have a great time, especially since she got a rose out of it.

Elsewhere, crazy Victoria started proving that she’s totally the villain of this season by continuing to start drama with the other girls.

Next, we were shown footage of Matt going on a group date with 18 of the women at once! The women who were on this date were: Chelsea, Serena P, Abigail,Sydney, Illeana, Kristin, Lauren, Jessenia, Serena C, Kit, Kaili, Katie, MJ, Mari, Pieper, Rachael, Khaylah and Victoria.

He took them to take wedding photos. At one point, host Chris Harrison showed to tell them, “We are looking for someone who will truly fight for Matt’s heart.” So, he told them they’re going to play a game called, “Capture The heart.”

During it, the women were split up into two teams. The winning team got to hit up an afterparty with Matt. The losing team had to go home. So, that was pretty straight up.

During the “Capture The Heart” game, the girls were seen throwing paint, food, purses and other things at each other as they tried to race to acquire a heart for their team. The red team ended up winning. Mari won the most valuable bride award. So, she got to go to the afterparty date with Matt even though her team lost.

During the afterparty, Matt talked 1 on 1 with Lauren. He talked with Alicia, and they kissed. Matt talked with Victoria. She talked about wanting to get to know him deeper, and he reciprocated that idea. Then they kissed.

At the end, Matt decided to give Lauren the group date rose. He made a good connection with her since they both share the same faith as Christians.

Next up, was a 1 on 1 date featuring Matt and Sarah. Matt took her on a plane ride to get their date off and running. They appeared to have tons of fun. After it, they talked about their families. Matt told the private cams “I need Sarah to be more open. I really want it to work with Sarah.”

Sarah told the private cams, “I need to bring the walls down and be more vulnerable.” She told Matt, “It’s so hard for me to open up, but I really want to share this with you. She told him her father got diagnosed with Garrison disease, which causes him to lose his ability to talk and other functions.

Matt told Sarah, “I can’t imagine what you’re going through, but I’m gonna be praying for your dad. You have the qualities I’m looking for in a woman.” Sarah told Matt, “Everything I’ve seen from you has been so amazing.” Matt said, “I appreciate how honest and open you were with me.” Then he gave her a rose, and they kissed.

Next, the crazy cocktail party took place. Things started off great with Matt talking 1 on 1 with Abigail. They had a good time. He talked with Bri. He talked with Kit. He talked with Magi. He talked with Marylynn.

Matt revealed to Marylynn that he got her an orchid, which is her favorite flower. Matt told her, “I want you to know I have been thinking about you even though you didn’t get a date this week.” Marylynn told Matt, “You’re so incredible.”

Victoria told the private cams, “Marylynn is toxic.” Then things went to hell when Victoria decided to cause drama by telling Matt, “Marylynn tries to manipulate things and she’s toxic. She said some mean things to me. I just avoid her because she’s so toxic.”

Matt told Victoria, “I’m glad you told me. I’m going to get to the bottom of this.” So, he went to talk to Marylynn about what Victoria claimed she did. Marylynn told Matt, “It’s my word against hers, but I’m telling you I didn’t say those things. What can I do to get you to believe me?” Matt said, “I have some things to think about.”

Marylynn tried to talk to Victoria to see if they could be civil and get past whatever issues Victoria had, but Victoria just blew Marylynn off and told her, “I don’t wanna talk to you. I think you’re fake and manipulative.”

Since this caused the other girls to lose time with Matt, they got very annoyed that Victoria told Matt those negative things. So, they confronted Victoria. Victoria told the private cams, “Marylynn needs to go home because I hate her. I’m not going home. The queen never goes home.” Everyone agreed that Victoria ruined the night. She’s extremely rude, and a definite villain.

After all of that drama, the rose ceremony took place, and Matt handed out roses to: Pieper, Kit, Magi, Rachel, Abigail, Chelsea, Jessenia, Katie and Serena C.

At this point, Sarah all of a sudden collapsed. She ran to the back saying, “Something’s wrong. I can’t see.” Matt ran to see if she was ok, and we got a “To Be Continued” message that flashed across the screen.

So, that ended on a very dramatic note. We’ll have to wait until next week to see what happened with all of that. They showed a preview clip that featured that crazy Victoria getting even worse to the point that just about everyone wants her gone!

The next, new episode of The Bachelor 2021 edition is scheduled to air next Monday night, January 18, 2021 at approximately 7 pm central standard time on CBS.
