911 AKA 9-1-1 Season 4, May 24, 2021 Episode 14 Is The Finale. Season 5 Is Happening

Hey, “9-1-1” fans. We hope you guys totally had a blast watching episode 14 tonight, especially since it’s the very last episode of this current 9-1-1 season 4. Yep, that’s right, guys. The current season 4 of 9-1-1 did indeed end with episode 14. We’re guessing that the season most likely got cut short due to all of the production issues that the terrible pandemic caused last year and into this year.

Aside from the season 4 finale news, we do have some good news for you. We can officially tell you that the wonderful people over at FOX did indeed decide to renew 9-1-1 for a brand new season 5! That’s right, guys. It’s time to celebrate the fact that you will get another new season of 9-1-1 episodes blasted at you during the 2021/2022 season.

According to the folks over at TV Line, this 9-1-1 season 5 renewal announcement was made about a week ago. So, it was around mid-May 2021. At the same time, FOX also announced that they are renewing the 9-1-1 spin off show 9-1-1: Lone Star for a new season 3! So, if you’re also a fan of 9-1-1: Lone Star, this is extra good news for you.

TV Line also revealed that FOX plans to have the new 9-1-1 season 5 start back up in the Fall 2021. Meanwhile, 9-1-1: Lone Star season 3 will start up in January 2022. Currently, we’re not sure how many episodes either of the two shows will feature in their new seasons. We’ll have to give you that important info at a later date.


TV Line also mentioned that FOX teased that there will be a crossover event for the two shows during the back half of 9-1-1’s new season 5.

9-1-1 season 4 averaged 6.479 million LIVE viewers and a 1.05 ratings score for the 18-49 year old demographics. The most recent episode 13, which aired last Monday night, May 17, 2021, drew in 5.800 million LIVE viewers and a 0.90 ratings score.

The most-viewed episode was episode 2 with 7.208 million LIVE viewers. The least-watched episode was episode 13 with 5.800 million LIVE viewers.

The highest-rated episode was episode 2 with a 1.24 ratings score. The lowest-rated episode was episode 12 with a 0.85 ratings score. As we now know, those numbers were indeed good enough for FOX to renew the show for a brand new season 5, which again, is terrific news.
