Tough As Nails October 6, 2021 Eliminated No One From Individual Competitions (Recap)
Hey, “Tough As Nails” fans. Tonight, October 6, 2021, the premiere episode 1 of Tough As Nails season 3 did indeed air.
Tonight’s episode kicked off with the contestants’ introduction footage. Then, the contestants were given their first challenge. It was a military exercise. The two people who finished first and second got to choose the teams for this season.
During this challenge, the contestants had to find one of 12 airdrops. Then, they had to assemble a trailer with wheels. From there, they had to hook it up to an ATV. Then, they had to race to the finish line with the ATV. Alfie ran into issues with the ATV. Apparently, he didn’t know how to get it into neutral or something. Mike also got stuck in the sand at one point with his ATV.
When it was all said and done, Lia finished in first place, and Mike finished in second place. So, they got to pick the teams. Lia went first since she finished the comp first. She chose the Dirty Hands team name, and picked: Jerome, Christine, Quincy, Tak and Kolimba to be on her team.
Mike got the Savage Crew team name by default, and he chose: Hanger, Elizabeth, Alfie, Kelsy and Sarah to be on his team. Host Phil Keoghan revealed that the team to get five wins first, wins $60,000 dollars again this season.
Next, they competed in their first team challenge for a chance to win $12,000 dollars. Sarah was named crew boss for this challenge. Lia was named crew boss for the Dirty Hands team.
During this challenge, the teams had to do a series of different military tasks. Apparently, Sarah had a lot of experience with this particular task. So, she was ready for it.
They had to unload a container, move supplies to a pallet, set up a tent, put up a fence posts, change out a flat tire on a humvee, raise an American flag and move humvees out for the win. Sarah and the Savage Crew ended up winning this team competition to take the $12,000 dollars and the first badge of honor. Again, the first team to get 5 badges of honor this season, wins $60,000 dollars.
Phil also mentioned that the individual winner is going to win $200,000 dollars again this season. No one was eliminated from the individual competitions in this episode because it didn’t feature an individual challenge. Those will start up in the next episode.
The next, new episode of Tough As Nails season 3 is scheduled to air next Wednesday night, October 13, 2021 at approximately 8 pm central standard time on CBS.
