Chicago PD Season 9, December 15, 2021 Episode 10 Delayed. Not Airing For A While
Hey, “Chicago PD” fans. Yes indeedy. It’s one of those terrible times again. We have to hop on here to tell you that your favorite NBC, crime drama Chicago P.D. will be missing from the NBC, primetime line up for an extended period of time. NBC definitely won’t be airing the next, new episode 10 of Chicago PD’s current season 9 tonight, December 15, 2021.
We’ve learned that Chicago PD is currently in the midst of a long, 3-week delay. NBC has confirmed that they plan to air the new episode 10 on Wednesday night, January 5, 2022 in its usual 9 pm central standard time slot. So, you’ll definitely want to make sure you don’t forget that very important date and time.
We did take a look at just what in the heck is NBC replacing your favorite Chicago PD show with over this extended delay period. According to the TV guide listings, NBC is going to air a new Christmas special ,tonight, called, “Kelly Clarkson Presents: When Christmas Comes Around.”
NBC’s official description for it reads like this, “Kelly Clarkson celebrates the holidays with musical performances and special guests, including Brett Eldredge, Ariana Grande, Jay Leno, Melissa McCarthy, Leslie Odom Jr., Amy Poehler and Santa Claus, while giving back to those in need.”
Then, next Wednesday night, December 22, 2021, NBC is going to air the 2018 production, “Dr. Seuss’ The Grinch.” NBC’s official description for it reads like this, “When the Whos decide to make Christmas bigger, louder and brighter, the disgruntled Grinch hatches a scheme to pose as Santa Claus, steal Christmas and silence their holiday cheer once and for all.”
On Wednesday night, December 29, 2021, NBC is going to air a repeat episode of Chicago PD. It will be the 2nd episode of this season 9 titled, “RAGE.”
NBC’s official description for it reads like this, “Officer Kim Burgess fights for her life as the team scrambles to find her kidnapper. Dep. Supt. Sam Miller is desperate to find her son’s killer. Voight and Upton deal with the aftermath of their deadly decision. Ruzek struggles with the pressure of the situation.”
Spoiler Warning: For those of you who are interested, we were able to track down a spoilery preview clip for the next, new episode 10 of Chicago Fire’s current season 9. Currently, this clip is the only promotional material that NBC has released for episode 10. They haven’t even released a title for it yet, and they always usually get a title out first.

Again, NBC confirmed that the next, new episode 10 of Chicago PD’s current season 9 is scheduled to finally make its way to air on Wednesday night, January 5, 2022 at approximately 9 pm central standard time.
